[TW just to be safe. I bet you can guess what for off the title, but it's not anything graphic. (Y/n) doesn't really elaborate much but the implications are pretty clear. If you'd like to skip it just don't read the italicized text :3]

The day had been pretty inconsequential today not taking into account that Shinso was now in class with them which had (Y/n) shaking in excitement the whole day.

Today was Tuesday which meant... Therapy! YAY!

This week it was family therapy so it was (Y/n) and Aizawa sitting in Hound Dog's office.

"Now there's one thing I believe we should address." Hound Dog spoke, "(Y/n) I have noticed that you seem uncomfortable when people show concern for you. Is it a reflex or are you aware why that is?"

(Y/n) stilled, "No. I know why."

Hound Dog raised an eyebrow silently encouraging (Y/n) to speak.

(Y/n) took in a deep breath, "I guess that to properly explain it I should start from the beginning. And I mean the beginning."

[We're hopping into Shigaraki backstory format. Meaning italicized is (Y/n) narrating and everything else is spoken comments on the story]

I guess I should start by talking about my mom a bit. She's a quiet woman and I mean she rarely speaks. When she does her voice is always a bit hoarse from lack of usage. I think that if it wasn't for my dad making her do vocal exercises every Friday her vocal chords would've wasted away. Don't get me wrong, she's not distant. She's very present and expresses how she feels with her face, ASL or actions she just... doesn't speak a lot.

When my mom moved to Norrisville my dad noticed she didn't talk and started bringing a notebook where he wrote down things instead of saying them and they communicated that way.

"He still has those notebooks by the way... they're gross. Sickeningly sweet to read." (Y/n) added.

With time mom trusted him and they got married and they started trying for a child, aka me.

...I don't really know this first hand. My grandma on my dad's side told me since my parents don't talk about it, but they have told me it's true.

When my mom was 25 weeks pregnant her family found her. I don't know my mom's side of the family so I guess they just aren't good people. My mom got so stressed that she was triggered into labor, so I arrived VERY early.

My family isn't really rich, we get on just fine and live comfortably. The people in Norrisville despite being quite a big city are always willing to lend a hand, so even if you're struggling for money they'll allow you to take what you need and pay it back later. Some might even help you get a job.

What happened kinda shook the town, nobody could really understand what happened or why. My family is well known and liked for the whole Ninja thing and because we're decent people, so money was never gonna be an issue when it came to my mom and I being taken care of in the hospital. If it came to that I'm sure everybody in town would have pitched in.

In the end it was the McFist's who decided to cover any and all financial bills so my mom and me especially could be taken care of. They're good people.

Obviously I lived. I mean I'm here now, but I did give my family many scares where I just kinda plummeted for a bit. It was fine though. I was fine. When I was finally released from the hospital I was the stuff my local news. Everyone was super happy and sent my parents letters and other baby stuff. My family was the happiest though they threw a party the day I got home. All the Cunningham's, Weinerman's, Fowler's, and Smith's.
