Chapter 49: NEVER FEAR FOR I- I got this! :3

The 100 qualifying students were getting the briefing on the second phase of the exam. Essentially was search and rescue which was the most important part of hero work in (Y/n)'s opinion.

A group of trained actors, Help Us Company (H.U.C), came in and explained how they would be grading the applicants.

'And our acting levels. Damn.' (Y/n) thought as they raised their hand.

"Uh... yes?" The H.U.C representative asked.

"What if you actually get hurt? Do you have a code or something?" (Y/n) asked.

"Code yellow." The representative said.

(Y/n) have a thumbs up.

"Applicants, now that you've been briefed, please go to gate four and wait for a signal." The overseer of the exam said.

It had been about twenty minutes since the briefing and everyone was just kinda waiting around for the exam to start.

"FUCK YOU." (Y/n) said.

"Suck on that." Shinso said with a smug smile.

Tokoyami held in a laugh.

All three of them UNO installed on their phone to pass that time and (Y/n) had just been served a plus four.

"Final call. All students have gate number four." A voice came from the speakers.

All three teens put their phones always as they started doing stretches.

"This isn't over, Shin. I'll remember that." (Y/n) glared at Shinso as they stretched.

"Good. Do remember." Shinso glared back with a smirk.

The gates suddenly opened and the exam began.

Some students rushed, but this portion of the exam wasn't about rushing or getting most people rescued. Not really. It was about acting according to the situation. Their rush would definitely cost them.

"Hey. Lend me your bo staff." Shinso asked.

(Y/n) put on their mask and pulled out the bo staff before handing it over to Shinso absentmindedly.

"See you." Shinso said as he extended the bo staff and jumped over some debris.

"You're not sticking together?" Tokoyami asked.

"Hm? Oh, no. We're trying to not over rely on each other. To prove we can be heroes on our own merit." (Y/n) said, "Anyway. I'll see you around Yami-kun, D.S."

"You bet!" Dark Shadow said.

"Break a leg." Tokoyami said.

(Y/n) gave a thumbs up before running in the opposite direction of Shinso.

There were a few students on the safe site to help the "First Responders" aka people pretending to be paramedics.

One of those students was Momo who kept patrolling around for any signs of people arriving on site. Suddenly she started to hear the faint sound of a voice and a group of kids singing that London Bridge nursery rhyme.

Momo then sees (Y/n) walking slowly as they sang along with the children carrying two kids on their back, one on their shoulders and three others walking behind them holding onto their scarf as they followed and sang.
