Today was festival day and (Y/n) was helping the class set up the stage with the help of the Ninja suit.

"Alright! That should be good (Y/n)! Let it go!" Uraraka yelled.

(Y/n) quickly let go and rolled out of the way in case the stage collapsed...

Luckily it didn't.

The class cheered at their handiwork.

"Alright, class! We are free to wander around the festival for about... half an hour! Remember to be here on time for our performance!" Iida called out.

"And please try to convince people to come to our show!" Momo added.

With that the class scattered into little groups going off to experience the festival.

(Y/n) was about to leave also when Shinso harshly patted their back.

"I'm gonna go visit the General Studies kids. I'm sure I can get them to come so we won't be playing to a ghost crowd." Shinso said before walking off.

"Uh, OOOOW!" (Y/n) whined.

They swore they could heard Shinso's much quiet laughter from the distance.

(Y/n) sighed, they looked around at their classmates and saw all the distincts little clicks they had formed. And while they could join one to the complaint of no one, that never sat right with them.

No matter the place their main posse always consisted of one person. In America that meant Carrot, in Japan it was Shinso.

Most people would describe (Y/n) as the nicest kid around. The kind of kid that could befriend anyone and was always a safe bet to hang out with, but (Y/n) was never anyone's number one pick of friend.

Not that any of the kids (Y/n) knew were bad kids, but there were simply other kids that shared a greater connection than they did to (Y/n).

Like Carrot. (Y/n) was definitely always Carrot's first pick of friend... but then he got himself a boyfriend. A wallflower boyfriend at that. A total loner but with a heart of gold.

Lute was a quiet one. He always seemed begrudgingly ok with being alone, though he seemed like he would've preferred otherwise. (Y/n) liked the boy and so they made a point to push Carrot towards the boy once they became official.

And they were right. Lute would always light up when Carrot went over to pair up with him. He always looked like a completely different kid.

And often (Y/n) would be left in a solo team, they were well used to it and they always would use some Ninja related quip to keep people off their trail they would've liked to be in a team.

(Y/n) was always so cheerful so full of energy nobody ever stopped to consider they actually would have benefited from being paired with people by force, maybe they would've formed a stronger connection with someone rather than just the average connection, granted it was a good one, but still.
