a/n: don't forget to comment. another 2 chapters!! hahaha

little beads of sweat coat (y/n)'s forehead as her brows furrow, eyes moving behind her lids, heart palpitating, "su...kuna..." she mumbles under her breath, twisting and turning on the small bed, the sheets crumpled.

once again, she is having another fragment of her past life. she snaps her eyes open, breathing heavily. she furrows her brows, slowly sitting up. she is fed up. if she doesn't do something now, she will never find her peace of mind!

the dreams have become more frequent and with each glimpse of her past life, (y/n) is consumed by a growing curiosity about sukuna and since no one is willing to further this investigation, she decides to handle it herself. this is getting insane...

after (y/n) has fallen asleep, she woke up with a determined mindset. she stomps out her room, brushing past nobara, whom shoots her a confused gaze, "(y/n)?" she calls out, propping a hand to her hip, "what crawled up your ass and died?? did fushiguro bother you? i'll beat him up for you." she offers with a grin.

stopping in her tracks, (y/n) sends her a reassuring glance, not revealing how bothered and disturbed she is feeling from all her recent dreams of late, "as much as i find that funny, i just slept on the wrong side of bed," she lies, bowing her head as she continues her way.

nobara scratches her head in confusion, before shrugging and walking off to find maki.

(y/n)'s first destination was to the archive room, but she needs permission first considering she is a non-sorcerer and she doubts yaga would let her through as only authorized personnel can have access to those scripts.

"no." yaga brushes her request aside, focusing on his cursed plushies as he picks up one of his creations.

(y/n) frowns, not giving up just yet, "yaga, i beg of you, please allow me access to the archives. I need to find answers about my past life and my connection to ryomen sukuna!" she begs the buff male.

yaga pushes his shades up further, sighing sympathetically at her, "i'm sorry (y/n), but I can't grant you that privilege. The archives are only for authorized personnel, and you are not a sorcerer." he points that fact out.

(y/n) straightens her back, (e/c) hues glimmering fiercely as she places a hand on her chest, "but i'm the lover of the king of curses! I have a right to know!" she demands, she simply cannot be in the dark about this!

yaga stands up, slowly approaching the distraught (h/c)-ette and placing a hand on her shoulder while gazing at her sadly, "i understand your frustrations, (y/n), but the rules are in place for a reason. allowing you to rummage through the scrolls would be giving you too much leniency."

tears form in (y/n)'s eyes, "b-but yaga, i'm desperate. I need to know if there's any information about me or sukuna that was unlooked! maybe you nor gojo have checked properly!" she argues a valid point, but still...

yaga can see the confusion and desperation on (y/n)'s face, "i understand your predicament, my dear, but I can't make an exception for you. I'm sorry." he apologizes, patting her shoulder comfortingly.

(y/n) feels frustrated, "but why not? i'm not asking for much, just a chance to look through the archives and find some answers!! i promise not to know too much!" she pleads, clutching his shirt collar in a desperate attempt to make him agree, her eyes frantically searching his face for a sign of acceptance.

yaga lightly takes hold of her hands, pulling them off his collar as he sighs, "(y/n), i understand where you're coming from, but i can't allow it. the archives are strictly off-limits to anyone who isn't a sorcerer. that is my final word, i'm sorry." he sternly says before softening his tone in the end.

(y/n) has tears streaming down her face, "but yaga, this means so much to me." she weakly says, "i'm...i'm trying to understand. to understand myself. My connection to...to sukuna." a shudder ran through her, a chill from the ancient memories she struggled to grasp.

yaga softens his expression, "i know it does, (y/n), but i can't help you. i'm sorry."

(y/n) slumps her shoulders, wiping her tears, "..fine, i understand. but it doesn't make it any easier," she sniffles.

yaga pats her head softly, feeling sorry for the eighteen year old, "i understand, (y/n). however, i promise to keep an eye out for any information that might be able to help you. but for now, the archives are off-limits." he gives her one more pat.

"yaga..."

the buff male smiles reassuringly, "i know, (y/n). i can see the torment this is causing you. but the information in those scrolls is dangerous. even the most seasoned sorcerer can be overwhelmed." he speaks with caution.

just then, a nonchalant voice cut through the tense silence.

"don't worry, (y/n)," a familiar white haired male speaks up. it was gojo! said male was casually leaning against the doorframe, his ever-present blindfold in place. he smirks at his former sensei.

yaga let out a surprised noise, "satoru, what're you doing here!?" he frowns at his former student.

gojo's pink lips curve into mischievous grin, "i can hear you both from outside, ya know. walls have ears, sensei!..and i was curious to what the commotion was about, so i came here," he laughs, strutting into the room like the busy-body he is.

the white haired male looks at (y/n), "i hear about your little problem, (y/n). i'm sure we can find a way to make it work. besides, rules are made to be broken, right, yaga?" he darts his gaze to the buff male, a smirk on his face.

yaga bristles, "gojo, this is unacceptable. it's a miracle the higher-ups haven't figured this out yet." he warns.

gojo raises an eyebrow, straightening up with his hands tucked in his pants pocket, "..who says they haven't already..?" he grins, prompting yaga to glare.

"relax, old man. i'm not breaking any rules. i'm simply offering (y/n) a bit of guidance." gojo's smirk widens as he glimmers with mischief, "and trust me, i know a thing or two about getting what I want," he winks at (y/n), who stares at him in disbelief, a flicker of hope emerging in her eyes.

yaga rubs the bridge of his brows. he knows he has no chance of stopping gojo now. the infuriatingly carefree man always had a way of maneuvering around their rules. he sighed, resigned to the inevitable chaos gojo's 'guidance' would unleash.

taking his silence as a resigned yes, gojo pulls (y/n) along with him, his hand in her, "ja-ne!" he waves, laughing carefree.

the walk to the archives was silent before it was broken by gojo's smug voice, "ah, how dramatic is yaga, right?" he asks her in a light and casual tone, his hands in his pockets as he walks side by side with her.

"uhm..." (y/n) was slowly beginning to understand who gojo is. he a wildcard, a chaotic force who disregarded rules with reckless abandon, but his actions often had unforeseen consequences. yet this time, he was offering a solution to her.

"mhm?" gojo tilts his head down at her despite his signature blindfold in place.

(y/n) hesitates, her voice small, "i....what if we get caught?" she looks at him as they descend a long staircase, complete darkness at the bottom. the only recurring sounds were their footsteps on each stairway.

gojo grins, "then we'll face the music together. after all," he says with a dramatic flourish, "the best adventures come when you break the rules!.." he laughs, his head tilted back as he descends further.

"gojo..." (y/n) breathes out, looking at the strongest sorcerer in jujutsu society.
