Chapter 9 : Playful Teasing and Jealous Hearts

The morning sun filtered through the dorm windows, casting a warm glow over the living room where the members of BTS were gathered.
It was a rare day off, and they were eager to make the most of it with a relaxed breakfast together.

Taehyung and Jungkook were in the kitchen, bickering over the best way to make pancakes.
Jungkook was adamant that his method was superior, while Taehyung was equally convinced of his own prowess.

"I told you, Jungkook, you need to mix the batter more gently," Taehyung insisted, his brow furrowed in concentration as he stirred the pancake batter.

Jungkook rolled his eyes, reaching over to take the whisk from Taehyung.
"And I'm telling you, Taehyung, you have to whisk it vigorously to get the right consistency."

Jimin and hobi, both had been observing the exchange between the youngers with great amusement, it was jimin who decided to join in.
"I'm with Taehyung on this one, Jungkook. Gentle mixing is key."

Taehyung shot Jungkook a triumphant look, a smirk playing on his lips.
"See? Even Jimin agrees with me."

Jungkook huffed, his cheeks puffing out in a pout. "Fine, but if these pancakes turn out flat, it's on you two."

The playful teasing continued as they cooked, with Jimin siding with Taehyung at every opportunity.
"You know, Jungkook, Taehyung's got a real talent for this. Maybe you should take notes," Jimin said, grinning.

Yoongi, lounging on the couch and half-listening to the commotion, couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy at the sight of Taehyung and Jimin ganging up on Jungkook.
He narrowed his eyes, muttering under his breath, "Why is Jimin always on Taehyung's side?"

Namjoon, sitting beside Yoongi, chuckled at his friend's irritation. "You know they're just having fun, right? Jungkook's cute when he's mad over stupid things"

Yoongi crossed his arms, a playful scowl on his face. "Yeah, but still. Jungkook's my partner in crime. He needs backup."

As if on cue, Jungkook called out from the kitchen, "Hyung, help me out here! Taehyung and Jimin are ganging up on me."

Yoongi jumped up, his expression determined. "I'm coming, Jungkook. Time to even the odds."

Jin who was in his room doing god knows what also joined Hoseok on the couch, watching the scene unfold, exchanged amused glances.
"This should be interesting, shame we don't have popcorn with us" Jin remarked, a smile tugging at his lips.

Hoseok nodded, laughing.
"Yoongi to the rescue."

Yoongi strode into the kitchen, standing beside Jungkook with a mock-serious expression. "Alright, what seems to be the problem here?"

Jungkook grinned, feeling bolstered by Yoongi's presence. "Taehyung and Jimin are convinced their way of making pancakes is better.
We need to show them they're wrong."

Taehyung raised an eyebrow, a playful glint in his eye. "Oh, really? And how do you plan to do that?"

Yoongi smirked, grabbing a spatula. "By making the best pancakes you've ever tasted, that's how."

And the battle begins.

The kitchen became a battlefield of sorts, with Taehyung and Jimin on one side and Jungkook and Yoongi on the other.
Flour flew, batter splattered, and laughter filled the air as they each tried to outdo the other.

In the midst of the chaos, Jungkook caught Taehyung's eye, their playful rivalry only enhancing the warmth between them. "You're going down, Taehyung," Jungkook teased, his tone light.

Taehyung laughed, his heart swelling with affection. "We'll see about that, Jungkook."

As the pancakes cooked, Yoongi couldn't help but notice how close Jimin was standing to Taehyung. His jealousy flared again, and he reached over to pull Jimin into a side hug.
"Stop siding with the enemy, Jimin," he said, his tone half-joking a ting of jealousy in his eyes.

Jimin laughed, leaning into Yoongi's embrace. "Alright, alright. I'll switch sides for a bit."

Taehyung feigned a hurt expression, dramatically clutching his chest.
"And you said you're my soulmate, Jimin?"

The pancakes finally finished cooking, and the members gathered around the table to taste the results.
They each took a bite, the flavors blending perfectly.

"These are amazing," Namjoon declared, his mouth full. "You all did a great job."

Jin nodded, a look of satisfaction on his face. "Agreed. Maybe we should have these pancake wars more often."

As they continued to eat and joke, the playful bickering giving way to genuine compliments and shared enjoyment, the members felt a renewed sense of unity. The teasing and competition had only served to strengthen their bond, reminding them of the deep connections they shared.

And amid the laughter and warmth, Taehyung and Jungkook shared a look of mutual affection and understanding.

Their playful rivalry had only brought them closer, reinforcing the love and friendship that would always be at the heart.
