"And then wot happened?" A cheeky smile grows on Anne's face. Almost as if she knew what we did in that car.

"Well... I told them to go to the hotel. We had a bit of a talk, and... um..."

I rubbed my aching neck, still sore from it's euphoric bite when she squeals in excitement.

"The bond ya both 'ave is strong! I can feel it radiatin' just like the glow on ya face!"

"I think so too." I smile shyly. "Sometimes I can pick up on what he's feeling too. It helps to know what mood he's in when it comes to talking about things."

"But besides that, is that all you feel?"

"Not exactly..." I felt my cheeks warm up a little. "I... um..."

I am so excited to be his Bride. To be his forever and to learn even more about him. To know that our lives together will forever continue as the rest of the world moves on. We could travel, change our names, learn something new, go back to school. The world was literally our oyster now.

"Gosh it feels so embarrassing." A giggle escapes my lips. "But god damn it Anne, I'm just so fucking happy!"

"Really?!" She beams.

"Yes! Oh my god, I feel so alive! To know that I'm his is just so— so —gah!"

She laughs at my loud squeal, reaching around to take me in her arms for a celebratory hug.

"I'm so so so happy for you Love! You have no idea ow much— Oh! Don't cry sweets!"

Her hand rubbing my shoulder didn't help with keeping my tears quiet. If anything, it made me cry even more from the surge of joy.

"I just— I— I never thought he'd want me. L-Love is so hard t-to find. And I—I N-never thought I'd find— it—. I- I feel so b-blessed!"

"I can only imagine 'ow chuffed to bits you feel right now." She says. "And I'm buzzin' to see this new life begin with you and Arthur. Have you both decided on a date yet?"

I shake my head at her, pulling away to wipe my tired eyes.

"Wot about a place for the ceremony? Do ya plan keepin' it local? Wot about the party? 'ow many guests we thinkin' about?"

I could see the excitement in her large puppy eyes that were eager to help. Although I wasn't completely opposed to a wedding party, I hoped that what I was about to say next didn't break her generous heart.

"I... kinda don't want a party Anne."

A look of confusion replaces the eager smile on her face. At least it wasn't a face of anger or frustration.

"Oh... How come?"

"I-I mean, as much as I'm proud to say I'm Arthur's soon to be wife, I don't exactly feel comfortable being the center of attention at a big party."

"But don't ya wanna meet Arthur's family?" She asks. "I'm sure they would be stoked to meet ya."

"I do! Trust me, I would love to meet his entire family. Heck, I would even love to even visit his hometown and walk the streets he's grown up on. But I don't want anything extravagant. "I don't need a party here at the mansion or a rented ballroom at a fancy hotel. I would be open to even just elope and take another vacation if we could. But I know for sure I would like to meet his family, either before our ceremony or after in a quiet setting."

"Would you be opposed if I invited them here?" She suggested. "Maybe for a late night reservation at a vineyard of some kind?"

"Mmm... maybe not a vineyard." I said. "I'd like to do something fun, but if Arthur's not much of a fun person, I can only imagine they might not enjoy that too."

Then, A familiar voice made my head turn with a jolt.

"Just because we're from the same bloodline, doesn't mean we share the same interests—."

"Geez Arthur!" I eased my racing heart. "You could've made a noise or two!"

"Sorry my love," He leans in to kiss my cheek. "I keep forgetting you're a bit of a jumpy one."

"Shut up." I snort.

"Evening to you too Anne." He greets, pulling out the white iron chair to sit a the tea table. "How was your day?"

As Anne filled him in with missed calls and house news, I couldn't help but admire how he looked tonight.

Blonde angelic hair up in a messy man bun, a tight gray shirt hugging at his pecks, luxurious black sweatpants that fit him perfectly, and black converse I have never thought to see on his feet. Even when he's dressed super comfortably he looked sexy as hell.

"A wedding huh." He adds a cube of sugar to his cup, hiding a smile that wanted to spread on his face. "And has my fianceé decided where she'd like it to be?"

Fianceé... My heart flutters. Say it again...

"While I don't think we have a location set, she wants it to be small."

"Small." A grin finally reveals itself. "I like that idea."

"Yeah?" I ask softly. "I... don't really mind a party. I just don't want all eyes on me."

"And if you don't want that, we don't have to." He says. "Party or not, I'm happy with either."

"She's also not opposed to eloping either."

That made his head cock a little.

"Eloping?"

Oof, does he not like that?

"Yeah you know, eloping?" Anne emphasizes. "You do know what that is right?"

He rolls his eyes at her. "Yes, I'm fully aware what it means. I... nearly eloped with my first."

That's right. I realize. Hm, maybe we shouldn't then.

"I mean... we don't have to." I said. "Everything is still on the table."

"But what ever you would like, I'm fully supporting." He says. "In a church, at a drive -thru, or even in our dying garden, I'll marry you anywhere so long as you'll be there."

"And I will." I reach out for his warm hand. "Wouldn't miss it for the world."

"Hm, good." He smiles, lifting my hand to his lips to kiss it.

"So... the wedding dress." Anne bites down on her smiling lip. "Yay or nay?"
