We started off in The land of Futropolis; the vibrant neon lit city we see as the future. While it was once designed to give a view of what the 50's future gadgets and ideas would be like, it now became a land taken over by a popular pop culture show.

Characters from Battle Galactica had been plastered everywhere from the merch itself, to the rides that no longer had that vintage charm.

Even my favorite ride, Galactic Summit, was the hugest disappointment knowing it was changed to Battle Galactica. The wait to get on the "space shuttle" was so long, it was hardly worth waiting for at all.

Then again, being in Arthur's arms during the wait did make it a little better.

It seemed like he didn't mind standing in line at all. In fact, he slightly appeared to be relaxed. I could see why now that I think about it.

He was away from the crowds. He was able to focus on me rather than scanning our surroundings, murmuring our conversations and sweet nothings into my hot ears.

Once we were finally able experience the "new and improved" Galactic Summit, I stepped out of the loading docks trembling from my knees.

Fuck... I swallow down my nausea. I'm getting old...

I felt so dizzy stepping out of the galactic fight through space; Arthur's cool hands never moved away from my shoulders as he guided me towards the outside.

When I was finally able to inhale the cool stinging air through my nose, the motion sickness had finally come down to a bearable simmer.

"You can let go now." I laughed sluggishly. "I'm just dizzy, not lost."

"It's because you are dizzy that I'm not letting you go." He grins to his amusement. "Do you feel sick? Need to throw up?"

"No, not sick." I sigh out another nauseous wave. "Just need a moment to collect myself. Fuck, I forget how fast it goes."

"That was fast to you?" He laughs loudly. "Driving down the freeway is much faster than that!"

"Oh whatever! You're just used to driving stupid fast. That and you are fast in general."

"True, I guess can't be helped." He shrugs. "So, what now? Care to go on another ride?"

We did just that.

I was pleased to see that one of my other favorite rides had not been tweaked by the overrated popular franchise. The idea was that we're flying through space in our own rocket pod; and because it was so small, having our own space was not ideal. The wait was quick, the steampunk design was beautiful, and it was a perfect excuse to snuggle up close to Arthur again. While I wished his eyes were on me during the ride so I could kiss him, he was looking over out towards the crowd; eyes narrowed like a hawk.

It's okay. I told myself. He's just a little on edge. I'm sure once he feels the magic, he'll settle down.

After that, we skipped most of the rides of the future and headed towards the center of the park. Entering, FantasyFaire.

It was you would expect if you went back in time to the renaissance era.

Actors in costume playing their parts, bards playing their instruments for tips, and talented shopkeepers selling their works of metal, glass, and textiles. As I had my eyes focused on a musician playing his beautifully carved lute, a fairy with organza wings suddenly approach me to hand me a piece of candy.

"A gift! For you!" She winks a glittery eye. "Bye human!"

She skips away towards another couple, handing them a piece of candy from her basket as I start to unwrap my piece of taffy.

"How sweet," I tip the coin of sugar into my palm. "I wonder what flavor—."

Before I could even have a taste, Arthur quickly snatched it away.

"Hey!" I whine. "What the hell?!"

He brings the piece of candy to his nose, sniffing it like he was looking for something. Once, twice; the longer he couldn't find what he was looking for, it became more aggressive.

"Love?" I touched his bicep. "What's wrong?"

Frustration grew into the folds of his forehead, almost as if he couldn't believe what he was detecting.

"What is it?" Bodyguard Juile asks. "Poison?"

One last deep inhale into his sinuses and Arthur gives up, looking just as angry when he was searching for a flaw.

"I don't know." He says dryly. "Toss it."

My candy... I sighed, disappointed I couldn't eat a fairy treat. Least he could do is apologize. But he really is just protecting me. Besides, I shouldn't be taking candy from strangers anyway. It's only Common sense.

While part of me did want to call him out on his switch in behavior, I didn't want to further spoil the fun we are trying to have.

Best I could do now was to ignore it. Hopefully, I'll get over it.

"Hey uh, how about we go on the Merry go round?" I ask in suggestion. "Take a break from the fast rides and just chill?"

Arthur's alert eyes scan around the perimeter. Searching for anything unusual while answering absently.

"Yeah, sure..."
