After the first sixteen games of the season, Colgate has a record of 7-7-2 and they seem to be playing well heading into this break. Mark Dekanich has been as advertised in the Colgate net and will look to carry the defensive side of the puck for the remainder of the season if Colgate wants to stay competitive in the competitive world of ECAC and college hockey itself. This Colgate team, like I said before, was very persistent in the way they played the game because of the way they play from behind sometimes but that's part of any sport.
This Colgate team hasn't been the best team in college hockey but their never give up mentality was inspiring to me as a young lad. This hockey team was some of the best young men Don Vaughan ever coached because he instilled in his team that same never give up mentality. Don Vaughan was instrumental in a lot of ways in this season and that's proved correct through the team's play over the first two months of this season. So now the question is can Coach Vaughan's team continue the trek to championship weekend with tenacity? We'll find out together as this season rolls along over the next couple of months. See you all in the next game and go 'gate!!
I hope you've been enjoying the offseason as we rocket toward a new adventure with the Colgate men's hockey program. We'll discuss the state of the team later but for now, do me a favor and enjoy the rest of this story. I can't wait for more Raider hockey and we'll have it all right here on Wattpad for your reading pleasure I can promise you that Colgate hockey will never disappear from this Wattpad account because I simply love my Raiders too much. Do me a favor please and enjoy the rest of this story and of course, go Raiders!!
