After a heartbreaking loss last night, the Colgate Raiders return to the Pepsi Center for a consolation game against their CNY foe, the Cornell Big Red in Albany this evening. With 6:15 left in the first period, Doug Krantz scored to make it 1-0 Cornell. With 3:56 left in the first period, Sean Carty scored his first goal of the season to tie the game 1-1. Mark Dekanich and Ben Scrivens matched zeros for the remainder of the period so 1-1 remains our score heading to period number two. With 12:29 left in the second period, Raymond Sawda scored to make it 2-1 Cornell. With 11:03 left in the second period, Justin Krueger scored to make it 3-1 Big Red. Coach Vaughan pulled Mark Dekanich out of the net and so, Justin Kowalkoski filled in for the remainder of the game. With 16:44 left in the third period, Collin Greening scored to make it 4-1 Big Red. With 1:25 left in the third period, Tyler Burton scored his twenty-third goal of the year to make it 4-2 Cornell. Dan DiLeo finished off the Raiders and Colgate ends the season on the wrong note with a 4-2 loss to Cornell.
