After a heartbreaking loss last night, the Colgate Raiders return to Starr Rink for the weekend series finale against Cornell hoping for the weekend split. Mark Dekanich and Ben Scrivens matched zeros in the first period so no score after one period of play. With 19:41 left in the second period, Evan Barlow scored to make it 1-0 Cornell. With 2:18 left in the second period, Wade Poplawski scored his first goal as a Colgate Raider, on the power play to tie the game 1-1. Dekanich and Scrivens matched zeros for the remainder of the period so 1-1 remains our score heading to period number three. With 2:26 left in the third period, Riley Nash scored to make it 2-1 Red. With 11 seconds left in the third period, Joe Scali scored to make it 3-1 Cornell. Ben Scrivens finished off the Raiders and Cornell sweeps the weekend with a 3-1 win over Colgate. Colgate dropped to 10-12-4 on the season and 4-7-3 in ECAC Hockey play.
