After an overtime thriller in Hamden on Sunday, the Colgate Raiders will honor the Colgate hockey class of 2008 this weekend as they wind down the regular season with Harvard and Dartmouth on the docket this senior weekend. With 5:45 left in the first period, Ethan Cox scored his sixth goal of the season to make it 1-0 Colgate. Mark Dekanich and Kyle Richter matched zeros for the remainder of the period so 1-0 Raiders it remains heading to the second period. With 18:24 left in the second period, Paul Dufault scored to tie the game 1-1. With 12:47 left in the second period, Alex Biega scored to make it 2-1 Harvard. With 7:38 left in the second period, David McIntyre scored his eleventh goal of the season to tie the game 2-2. Dekanich and Richter matched zeros for the remainder of the period so 2-2 remains our score heading to period number three. With 15:38 left in the third period, Mike Werner scored his first goal of the season to make it 3-2 Hamiltonians. With 8:58 left in the third period, Doug Richards scored to tie the game 3-3. Dekanich and Richter canceled each other out and so, we'll skate to a 3-3 tie at the end of regulation time. Dekanich and Richter matched zeros in overtime so we'll begin senior weekend with a 3-3 tie. Colgate shifts to 14-13-6 on the season and 8-8-5 in ECAC Hockey play.
