After a courageous effort last night in Schenectady, the Colgate Raiders head to Troy, New York to play the Rensselaer Engineers at historic Houston Fieldhouse this evening. Mark Dekanich and Matthias Lange matched zeros in the first period so no score after one period of play inside Houston Fieldhouse. With 13:11 left in the second period, Mark Anderson scored his second goal of the season, short handed to make it 1-0 Colgate. With 9:41 left in the second period, Dustin Gillanders scored his first goal of the season to make it 2-0 Raiders. Dekanich and Lange matched zeros for the remainder of the period so 2-0 Hamiltonians lead heading to the third period. With 12:51 left in the third period, Mark Anderson scored his third goal of the season to make it 3-0 Raiders. With 5:47 left in the third period, Ethan Cox scored his fourth goal of the season, short handed to make or 4-0 Colgate! Mark Dekanich finished off the 28 save shutout and Colgate wins 4-0! Colgate improved to 8-9-3 on the season and 2-4-2 in ECAC Hockey play!
