Sovieshu stood outside Angelica's room door as a maid bowed to him "Lady Angelica is still asleep. I will go and wake her, Your Majesty." The maid said as Soviehus shook his head "Leave her be." He said and walking inside walking over to her bed, and seeing her lying down asleep 'I don't really mind that Rashta loved someone else. But to abandon her child and run away and to lie to me to keep it a secret.' Sovieshu thought as he stood beside Angelica's bedside placing his hands on her hair and running the few strands through his fingers, which made her stir away rubbing the sleep away from her eyes "Hmm...Your Majesty? When did you come in?" Angelica asked sleepily as she sat up "I just got back. You should head back to sleep. I'll see you in the morning, alright?" He asked and Angelica nodded as he kissed her forehead letting her lay back down and going back to bed as he left the room heading to his office. The door to his office opened gaining Marquess Karl's attention "Welcome back, Your Majesty." Marquess Karl said watching Sovieshu walk inside and over to his desk as Marquess Karl followed him "Did you take care of Kosair?" He asked and Marquess Karl nodded "Yes, he's staying in his house and not causing any trouble. Your Majesty, have you decided what you're going to do about Lady Rashta?" Marquess Karl asked while Sovieshu laid his cape on a table "I might file for divorce." Sovieshu said surprising Marquess Karl "Do you mean that you plan to end the relationship you have with Lady Rashta or Lady Angelica?" Marquess Karl asked surprised "No. I'm going to divorce the Empress." Sovieshu said sitting down at his desk as Marquess Karl looked in horror at this. "What? But why?" He asked quickly "Regardless of any disappointment I feel toward Rashta, she's pregnant with my child. Punishing Rashta severely right now is the same as punishing my own child severely." Soveshu said as Marquess Karl looked at him nervously "But...But Your Majesty, isn't divorce a somewhat extreme solution? I apologize if I am speaking out of turn...But Your Majesty, I beg you to reconsider. If it's because of Lord Kosair, then you can punish him without punishing Her Majesty." Marquess Karl said as Sovieshu looked at him for a moment before looking away "If I punish Kosair, who is the sole heir to the Trovi Family, then that would jeopardize their position in society. Then the Empress and Angelica would be placed in a difficult situation. And if that happens, there will be detractors who will criticize her for being cold-hearted the harder she tries to fulfill her role. Marquess Karl said shocked "If Angelica becomes my Empress then she will have the support of the Empress and the nobles too. Then once my child is born she can choose to adopt the child for it to become a legitimate heir or we will have kids of our own." Sovieshu said the thought of Angelica as his Empress filled him with happiness while Marquess Karl looked at him in horror. "I mean no offense, Your Majesty, but Lady Angelica might not be able to fulfill the roles of an Empress!" Marquess Karl exclaimed as Sovieshu shook his head "I know, but remember that Angelica is getting the same teaching the Empress got as a Crown Princess and is being taught by the Empress too. While some do see Angelica as a second Empress, others will compare her to Navier." Sovieshu said, "But...Her Majesty might give birth to an heir in the future." Marquess Karl said and Sovieshu shook his head "The Empress might be barren and she might not be able to give birth to an heir." Sovieshu said looking down not wanting to speak badly on his childhood friend but needed to keep Marquess Karl calm in this conversation.
Marquess Karl rested his hand on the desk "I-If that is your plan, Your Majesty...Are you planning to disregard Angelica's past? And what about Rashta?" Marquess Karl asked as Sovieshu looked at him "Regarding Rashta, I'm not going to help raise the child she gave birth to in the past, but I'm also not going to banish the child, either. The child has nothing to do with me. As for Angelica, she has yet to speak on it." Sovieshu said, "But both Lady Rashta and Lady Angelica were born...Ah, have you considered marrying a Lady from a different Noble Family instead?" Marquess Karl asked and started to sweat at the cold glare Sovieshu gave him while making a scoffing sound "I would never betray my love for Angelica by doing that. Besides for Rashta, I can find some nobles to be her parents so it makes it seem that my child had noble blood and for Angelica, Duchess Trovi and Duke Trovi already recognize her as their own child, so it won't take much for her to have a noble lineage." Sovieshu said coldly. "But don't you think Lady Rashta will fight for the spot as Empress?" Marquess Karl asked making Sovieshu shake his head "She may be ambitious, but she knows her own limits. She will know that Angelica is a better fit for the role than her. And if she doesn't stop...I will force her to. I still have proof of how she schemed with Viscount Lotteshu to slander Duchess Tuania." Sovieshu said surprising Marquess Karl 'Is this the reason...he kept that report?' Marquess Karl thought as Sovieshu looked out the window with a sigh.
