Countess Eliza said as Navier nodded not looking worried at all, but In Sovieshu's office the High Priest looked somewhat worried "Emperor Sovieshu, what do you mean by this? Please tell me that I misunderstood your petition for divorce. What is going on?" The High Priest said as Sovieshu looked at him "You know me and Navier never loved each other. Our marriage was of convenience. Me and the Empress have talked it out and we agreed that we want a divorce. You must know my love for Lady Angelica, the Empress said that Angelica would be a perfect Empress and can always confined to her." Sovieshu said making the High Priest look at him worried "The Empress said there are no hard feelings between us and she knows about my love for Angelica and knows that the Eastern Empire is in good hands. And as much as I hate to say this but Navier could possibly be infertile and I must protect my child." Sovieshu said. The High Priest nodded 'I had an idea that the love between Navier and Sovieshu was fake. Angelica has been with the Trovi family since they were kids, so I had no idea that the true love was between Angelica and Sovieshu. I also understand why the Emperor kept the Empress possibly being infertile a secret. It would have been a great scandal for the Late Empress if people found out she had tried to trick someone into taking a drug that induces abortion. Plus, the Late Empress really liked Navier and Angelica...' He thought before nodding walking out of the room and walking to Navier's room "Your Majesty, you have a visitor. It's His Holiness, the High Priest." Countess Eliza said as Navier got up "Let him in." She said walking over to a chair and sitting down as the High Priest walked inside "Empress Navier" He said as Navier smiled at him. "I see you already know why I'm here." He said as he sat down "He has said he fell in love with Lady Angelica and plans to make her the Empress and that you are possibly infertile." He said as Navier nodded "That is correct, but it is unknown if I am. But we have decided to divorce on good terms, so there will be no bad blood between us. So there will be no need to try and argue during the trial." Navier said as the High Priest sighed with a nod "If you are sure this is the right choice and there will be no bad blood between, then I shall grant it." He said getting up and walking out of her room as Luara walked in "Your Majesty! Lady Artina is back." She said as Lady Artina walked inside as they both sat down to talk "It took longer than I expected to reach him because he was traveling at pace, but I managed to pass on your message to Marquess Falhan before he crossed the border." Lady Artina said.
Navier nodded "I'm glad you managed to reach him in time." Navier said as Lady Artina nodded "I urged the Marquess to hurry, and returned immedently. Judging by how fast he was traveling, he may already have reached the Capital of the Western Kingdom by now." Lady Artina said 'The High Priest has already arrived and the divorce proceeding will begin soon. By the time Heinrey arrives, it might be too late.' Navier thought with a sigh, soon it turned to night and Navier sat at her vanity as Countess Eliza walked in making Navier turn to her "Miss Lebetti is in the front of that palace gates, pleading to see Your Majesty with tears in her eyes." Countess Eliza said, "Miss Lebetti?" Navier asked before looking down 'It seems the news of the divorce has already spread. But still, it's the middle of the night...' Navier thought before standing up "Send her in" Navier said as Countess Eliza looked worried as she walked over to the door and opened it letting in a crying Lebetti. "Are you really...Getting a divorce, Your Majesty?!" Lebetti exclaimed making Laura and Countess Eliza flinch back at the bold statement "Miss Lebetti, you are out of line!" Countess Eliza yelled but Navier waved it off "It's fine. There's no need to cover it up since she already knows. You are right, Miss Lebetti." Navier said making Countess Eliza and Laura face her horrified "Your Majesty" They yelled in shock "It's because of Rashta, isn't it?! Rashta's the reason for your divorce, right?!" Lebetti yelled as Navier shook her head "No. It was a choice I and the Emperor made. I decided that Angelica will be a perfect Empress and you will be safe with her. We will be on good terms after the divorce." Navier said as Lebetti looked surprised "Angelica will be the Empress...?" She asked and Navier nodded "There is no need to be sad. I will still be here and Angelica will take care of you." Navier said giving Lebetti and hug as she cried 'I know Lebetti might try to get revenge on Rashta, but Angelica will protect her.' Navier thought.
After all that everyone was gone leaving Navier in her room alone sitting down at a table and writing a letter 'I need to goodbye to everyone who has helped me over the years regardless of whether I am able to get remarried or not. I want to tell them...That I am grateful for their help and support...So they shouldn't let themselves be consumed by anger on my behalf. They should put their happiness first. Help, support, and guide Angelica during her time as Empress.' Navier thought tears falling down her cheeks and onto the paper, as she had a smile on her face, but soon heard a thud and turned to see Queen with an arrow stuck on his wings making her quickly get up running over to the balcony opening it taking Queen into her room lying him on her bed 'You're still alive, right? Are you okay, Queen?' Navier thought placing her ear against his body to hear a heartbeat, and heard it as his wings hugged her making tears fill her eyes as she soon lifted herself to face him the tears falling down her cheeks "Don't die, Queen" She said wiping her tears as he cooed at the note tied around his leg. "I need to take care of you first." Navier said standing up grabbing a bottle of alcohol and some cotton balls walking back over to Queen "You are my number one priority." Navier said taking out the arrow and wiping away some blood "It looks like you're going to be okay. Thankfully, the arrow didn't pierce you." Navier mumbled as she smiled at Queen "You gave me quite a fright." She said while he cooed at her, but soon Navier poured some alcohol on the wound shocking Queen "This is going to sting a little, but it's for your own good." Navier said carefully taping the cotton ball on the wound "Does it hurt a lot?" Navier asked and soon finished giving Queen a little pat "All done." Navier said pecking Queen's head making him blush and flapping his wings around "I'm so happy to see you, Queen. It's been a while." Navier said with a smile.
