- In Sovieshu's Drawing Room -
----------------------------------------------
- Third Person POV -
Sovieshu sat in a chair next to a cradle, which held a small, peaceful, sleeping silver-haired baby girl wrapped in a white blanket with a leaves pattern on it "Just look at my first child. Isn't she lovely? There are still a lot of childcare books I've yet to read. There's a great deal your Papa has to do, My Dear. First...We must see with Her Majesty and her ladies to tend to my child in my absence and hire a nanny to help." Sovieshu said as Marquess Karl stood a few feet in front of him. "Pardon?" Marquess Karl questioned with confusion, 'Surely he can't be implying...' His thoughts trailed off, "Does Your Majesty not intend to entrust the child to Lady Rashta?" He asked, looking at Sovieshu, "I can't leave an infant under the care of someone who will harm small animals without a thought when things don't go her way." Sovieshu said, hinting at the blur bird that sat in the silver cage next to him, "What about the slave transaction papers? Are you still looking for them?" Sovieshu questioned, making Marquess Karl nod, "I apologize. Progress is a slow, as only a handful of people are conducting the search discreetly." He informed, making Sovieshu have a slightly annoyed look on his face, "That is a problem. I need to get rid of anything that might cause future trouble, especially now that my daughter has been born and I have another unborn child." Sovieshu said as Marquess Karl had a nervous expression, "Um...I don't mean to pry, Your Majesty...But may I ask if you intend to father a second child with Mistress Rashta?" He asked, making Sovieshu hum as the baby sniffled slightly in her cradle, making Sovieshu lift the baby into his arms.
"Since Her Majesty is still currently pregnant and is still a bit far from the 9 months. In not, it might be advisable to divorce Lady Rashta promptly...And hope, Her Majesty may have a son to become heir." Marquess Karl said as Sovieshu turned to him, "It doesn't matter what the gender is of Angelica's baby. Princess or Prince, the child will become my successor, no matter the gender." Sovieshu said with a serious tone, making Marquess Karl shocked and surprised. "There has never been a female monarch in the history of the Eastern Empire, Your Majesty! Only Princes born to Empress Consorts have the right to rule!" He exclaimed, "That is merely a custom, isn't it?" Sovieshu questioned as he looked down at the sleeping baby in his arms, "I will name this child Glorym..." Sovieshu said as Angelica entered the Drawing room with Countess Eliza at her side and Marquess Karl left the room, "I heard the baby was born." She said and looked at the baby, and her face softened, "The child looks healthy and well." Angelica said as she walked up to Sovieshu, who placed the baby in her arms, making Glorym coo slightly. "Angelica, I know this is a big request to ask, but I want to know if you are willing to raise her as your own?" Sovieshu asked, slightly worried, as Angelica stayed quiet for a few seconds, looking at the baby, "I will grant your request, I shall raise her as my own. She will be raised as a princess and will forever know she is loved. Countess Eliza will be her nanny." Angelica said, making Sovieshu smile as she pulled her close and kissed her forehead, "You will be a lovely mother to her and our unborn child." He said, 'This child...Is innocent of her mother's actions. I will make sure she is nothing like that woman.' Agelica thought, looking down at the sleeping baby with a soft smile on her face, gently rubbing Glorym's cheeks with her finger.
