The following days were long and heavy. Ashton had tried numerous times to apologize to Calum, but he just ignored him. Allison had forgiven him, but was still a bit upset that he betrayed his friend like that. Luke and Michael acted normal but the tension between the two other demons didn't go unnoticed for them. They always tried to lighten the mood but failed miserably.
Allison made a lot of progress in the mean time. She learned all the basic spells, learned how to defend herself and how to attack when necessary and she found her anchor.
Her anchor were the four demons themselves. She felt like she had finally found her home with them so how could they not?
Today was a day off. Ashton still tried to make amends with Calum but he had no luck.
Instead Calum went out to do something with Luke like he had promised him the night he and Allison snuck out.
Michael was doing something in his lab as usually and Ashton decided to go to the gym and blow off some steam.
Allison was sitting outside on a bench. In her hand she held a book from Stephen King.
"If only he knew those monsters are real," she mumbled as she continued reading one of his horror stories.
Her head shut up when she heard a twig snap from somewhere in the woods in front of her.
She shook it off and continued reading.
It didn't take long before she heard a more louder snap.
She looked up again and squinted her eyes, trying to find the source of the noise.
"Michael?" She called, knowing that he was the only one home that day. But he didn't answer.
She heard another snap and decided to investigate. She picked up a leaf and laid it between the pages where she was stranded before closing the book.
She placed the book on the bench and walked into the woods.
She slowly walked around, her eyes skimming everything.
They eventually landed on a brown squirrel.
"A squirrel? What's that doing here," She mumbled to herself.
She turned around and looked straight into a pair of black eyes.
She wanted to scream but got knocked before she could even utter a word.
The unknown man picked Allison's unconscious body up, and disappeared.
The days rolled along and finally everyone returned home.
Ashton was the first one to arrive and searched for Allison.
He looked in her room, his room, the bathrooms, the kitchen, outside but she nowhere to be seen.
Calum and Luke entered the house when Ashton stepped back inside.
"Have you seen Allison?" He asked them.
Calum ignored him as usual and went to the fridge to grab a bottle of coke.
"We just got here so no. Ask Michael, he's been here all day," Luke suggested.
The elder demon nodded his head and went inside Michael's lab.
"Where's Allison?" He asked.
"Hello to you too," Michael greeted him.
Ashton rolled his eyes and asked the same question again, "Michael, I'm serious. Where is she? I've looked everywhere in the house. She's nowhere to be seen,"
