"What do you mean? Is this like a game to you or something?" Michael asked.

"Something like that, yes," Jake answered.

He turned his back to the four guys and turned towards the two girl.

Calum saw this as a opportunity but as he tried to get closer, it was like he ran into a wall and bounced back.

"Did you really think I wouldn't use some magic to protect myself?," Jake asked unimpressed, "anyway I think that we should introduce everyone,"

Jake walked closer to the girl Ashton called Camille a couple minutes earlier, "Allison, this here is Camille. She's the ex-girlfriend of Ashton. She's a demon just like them," he then walked over to Allison, "and this, Camille, this is Allison. She Ashton's current girlfriend. She in transition,"

"Okay, what's your point? Is this to hurt me? Fine, but leave them alone," Ashton demanded.

"You're truly never gonna learn, are you?" Jake groaned, "Anyway, Ashton this decision is yours and only yours to make, got it? Okay good. You can save one of them right now. For the other one you'll have to fight."

"Is that even a decision? If want to make it hard for us, at least try," Calum scoffed confidential but started to doubt when Ashton still hadn't said Allison's name, "You're seriously not thinking about this are you?"

"Apparently he is. Tick tock, Ashton. I don't have all day," Jake urged.

"Ashton, please, do I have to remind you who your girlfriend is," Calum said in disbelief.

"Why don't I make it easier? I'll kill one right now," Jake threatened as he motioned for his guys to press the knifes harder against the girls throats.

Allison winched a little while Camille started to cry hysterically.

This made Allison roll her eyes. She felt bad for the girl because this was not her fight but she was the demon out of the two. She bet that if Camille tried, she could break lose.

"Okay, have it your way. Kill-"

"Camille! I choose Camille!" Ashton shouted, cutting Jake off.

There was a deadly silence after Ashton's words.

His three best friends were frozen in place. Calum was looking wide eyed at the older demon. Michael was trying to comfort Allison with his eyes but she refused to make eye contact with anyone. Luke's expression wasn't even readable.

"Well, I definitely didn't see that one coming. You heard the guy, let her go," Jake ordered his man.

The bodybuilder like guy placed the knife back in his place and pushed Camille towards the demons.

Ashton caught the shaking girl and whispered in her ear that she should go as far away from this as possible. Camille nodded and ran out of the building, not looking back.

"Let's finish this, shall we," Jake said calmly as he abrogated the spell that kept the four from attacking him.

He turned his back towards them and broke an iron pole off the wall.

Ashton didn't see this and charged at Jake.

He turned around just in time and pierced it through his body.

Jake took his chin, retrieved his pole and threw Ashton away. His body hit the concrete floor. He started to cough up blood as he scrambled to get back on his feet. He wasn't fast enough because Jake kicked him in the stomach while Ashton was hunched over a bit.

This made him fall back to the ground on his stomach. The other demon saw this as the perfect opportunity to pierce his body with the pole again.

This time he kept the pole in place and twisted it slowly.

"You feel that Ashton? I bet that's how Allison's feeling right now. Like somebody punched through her chest and squeezed her heart," Jake spat.

Ashton looked up at Allison but she could only stare at the ground. She felt exactly the way Jake described. A small tear fell from her cheek and this didn't go unnoticed by the others.

"Allison," Luke whispered as he tried to get to her again. This time the invisible wall didn't stop him, but the demon who held Camille captive.

Soon enough Luke got in a fight with him. They threw punches at each other and when Jake's guy hit the blonde in the jaw, Calum stepped in.

Michael was trying to break the spell that separate them from Allison while all the others were fighting.

Allison lifted her head up and looked at all her friends getting hurt. She didn't want this. She didn't want them to get hurt for her. "Stop"

Jake continued kicking Ashton, Calum and Luke were still fighting the guy and Michael's nose started the bleed from the effort.

"I said, stop!" She shouted.

Jake let go of the pole and stepped away from the bleeding Ashton on the floor.

Calum stopped punching the guy, Luke halted his action from tackling the guy and Michael quitted his chanting.

"I'll come with you, but please, leave them alone," She said.

"As you wish," he motioned for the guy behind Allison to let her go and the guy who attacked Luke and Calum to step back.

"Allison no, don't do this. You don't know what Jake's going to do to you," Calum pleaded.

"At least I know there won't be betrayal and pain," Allison said coldly.

"Allison," Ashton whispered.

Allison's eyes snapped to his bleeding body on the ground which was still pierced by the pole. She narrowed her eyes at him and said "I got nothing to say to you anymore. You made it clear. I hope your happy with your decision."

She abruptly turned around and ignored the guys protests. She followed Jake and walked into the shadows leaving the other alone in the abandoned building.

"You fucking asshole, Ashton!" Luke shouted at the elder demon.

Everyone was taken aback by this outburst. This was the first time Luke dared to stand up to his leader.

"What were you even thinking? No, you weren't thinking. How could you do that to her?" He continued.

Ashton stayed silent which made Luke even angrier, "don't come crawling back to me when all of this blows up in your face. I won't be there,"

He stormed out of the building not even looking at his other two friends.

Michael sighed before crouching down next to Ashton. He pulled the pole out of his body and let it fall next to him. "Don't count on me either. You're an absolute idiot,"

Michael followed Luke out of the building.

Ashton groaned in pain as he turned on his back. His eyes scanned the room until they fell on Calum

"What are you still doing here? I thought you'd be the first one to leave," Ashton said.

"I wanted to but then I saw how angry Luke got and how disappointed Michael was and how you barely reacted to it. Luke has never been angry at you and you're not even moved by it. Michael has been multiple times disappointed by you, but has never abandoned you and still you don't care. It's like your humanity switch is off," Calum said

"That's ridiculous," Ashton scoffed.

"Then something else is going on and I'm going to find out what. But for now you better find a way to get out of this mess because we are not going to help you," he finished.

Calum looked one last down at him before leaving the elder demon in the abandoned building and following his two other friends.
