chapter 28

After a couple hours Liam joined the group of demons.

"And? How's he doing?" Allison immediately jumped up.

"He's stable but weak. Michael placed him under a sleeping spell. He should be okay by tomorrow," Liam answered.

"I think it's time for us to go home," Louis announced.

"Thank you, for everything," Allison said getting up and hugging Louis.

He hugged back, "no problem, I'm free because of all this so I actually have to thank you,"

"I guess we're even then," she smiled as he smiled back.

Everyone was their goodbyes. Some took longer then others but soon enough the friends were alone again.

"Can I go see him?" Allison asked Michael.

"Of course," he said.

Allison smiled and got up. She went to Michael's lab and saw him laying on a bed.

She sighed and took a chair so she was sitting next to his bed.

"Here goes nothing," she mumbled, "you hurt me pretty bad, Ash. Words can't describe how I felt. I just, I just thought we had something special but I guess I was wrong. I'm still mad at you and I can't forgive you yet, but you didn't deserve this. I still love you even though you broke my heart,"

A tear rolled down Allison's cheek. She found it devastating to see Ashton lay there like that. She sighed again and got up, joining the others again.

"You alright?" Michael asked when he saw her.

"Yeah, I'm just gonna go to sleep. It's been a long day," She answered giving a small smile.

She told everyone goodnight and went to bed. Not long after, the others followed.

Everyone was exhausted and knew that if they stayed up any longer they would only end up with more worries.

So the demons went to bed hoping to get a little bit of sleep.

Luke didn't have a lot of problems trying to fall asleep. Allison on the other hardly closed an eye and before she knew it sun already shone through the curtains.

She sighed and got up. As she left her room, she nearly bumped into Michael. "I see you had a rough night too?"

"Yeah, are you on your way to see Ashton?" She asked him, who nodded in response.

She silently followed him to his lab and saw Ashton sitting straight up.

"Good morning, how are you feeling?" Michael immediately asked.

"Surprisingly good" Ashton's eyes left Michael and landed on Allison who was standing behind him. "Allison, you're here,"

"I am," she said awkwardly.

"I'll leave you two to it," Michael said as he walked back out of the door leaving the two lovers alone.

"Allison, I-", "Ashton-"

They both spoke at the same time and immediately stopped talking to hear what the other had to say.

None of them said a word for a couple minutes before Ashton sighed and decided to speak again. "Allison I want to say that I'm really sorry. I can't possibly imagine what I've put you through. I still don't know what had gotten into me that day. I wanted to choose you but it was like someone took control of my body and said Amber's name. Anyway, that doesn't make up for the fact that I hurt you and broke your trust. I know it'll take time, but if you're willing to give me another chance I promise I'll prove to you that I'm still worth your time. That you still can trust me and that I'm still in love with you. All I ask is a second chance and I know I don't deserve it and won't held anything against you if you don't, I would respect and understand your decision but, please,"

Allison was a bit taken back by Ashton pleading for a second chance that she didn't really knew what to say.

"Please, say something," Ashton encouraged her.

"I don't really know what. You indeed broke my trust and my heart. I should be mad at you, hell, I should hate you, but I don't. I still love you, but I can't do this. You literally chose another girl above me and let me leave with a demon who had nothing but bad intentions. I could've died in those past weeks. I don't know if I can ever forgive you or give you a seconds chance. It's too soon for that, I'm sorry," Allison said.

"It's okay, I understand. I'll do everything to make it up to you," He said, smiling softly.

"Thank you for understanding," They locked eyes for a minute, but Allison broke their eye contact by turning around and leaving the room.

Allison's absence was quickly replaced by Calum and Michael. Michael kept asking if he was alright and if he needed anything while Calum hugged him and joked around.

Luke, however, was still standing outside, searching for Allison to see if she was okay.

"How you holding up?" He asked her after he found her in the kitchen, pouring herself a cup of coffee.

"Good, actually. That talk with Ashton wasn't a pleasant one, but it sorted a lot of things out. My head's finally not a mess anymore," she explained as she poured Luke also a cup of coffee.

"Thanks and that's good," he commented as he accepted the mug.

"How are you and Ashton?" She asked. Calum had told her things weren't going good between them because of what had happened.

"It's okay. Not great, but things will go back to normal soon enough. He proved himself and with you being back and well, I don't really have a reason to be upset with him anymore," he explained. He paused for a moment before continuing. "Look about yesterday, I'm sorry for what I said. Of course Ashton didn't deserve it. I was just stressed out with the whole situation and I obviously was still upset with him, but I thought about it and I shouldn't have reacted that way. He's still a good friend and always got my back when I needed to, I should do the same,"

"I'm glad you realize that. Anyway, you should go see him. I'll be fine on my own," she smiled at him. He smiled back and did what she said.

She leaned against the counter and sipped from her coffee. A little smile was playing on her lips, because she knew that things would only look up from now on.
