Ashton didn't come home after the reencounter with Jake. Instead he disappeared for almost a week.

Calum was the only one who was searching for the elder demon, at least that's what he thought.

Michael may have locked himself up in his lab, but didn't stop searching for Ashton or Allison. He tried every search spell, potion, hex,.. there was but couldn't find them.

Luke, however, didn't search for Ashton. He only searched for Allison, but this was because he never even realized that Ashton was gone. He went out every day searching people's memories to see if they caught a glimpse of Allison. He returned home late and left again before the sun came up.

The week passed by and Calum grew more and more irritated. He sat down with his eyes closed trying to focus on his bond with Ashton. All four of the guys are connected with some kind of bond. If they concentrate enough, they can feel it. Some can even follow it and that's what Calum has tried to do the past few days. With no success to his disappointment.

He decided that he had enough and stormed into Michael's lab.

"What is wrong with you guys? Our friend goes missing and both of you act like you don't care. He made a mistake, but so did I in the past and you still forgive me. So why can't you forgive him?" Calum ranted as Michael was standing with his back towards him, not making a move.

"Nothing is wrong with me! I've been trying to find Ashton just as hard as you have! I've tried everything in every book but nothing so don't you dare to act that way towards me," Michael exclaimed frustrated.

Calum sighed, feeling guilty for snapping at his friend "Why is nothing working? It's like he dropped of the earth-"

"Say that again" Michael said.

"It's like he dropped of the earth... Of course" Calum said in realization.

"He's been in hell," Michael confirmed his thoughts.

"But why?"

"Probably because we said we didn't want to help him bring Allison back. He's probably searching for help," he explained.

"I know exactly who he's searching,"  Calum said with a grin plastered across his face.

"And who he found," a voice said from behind the brown haired demon, "good to see you old friend. I like it better when you're not in a raging killing spree,"

"Me too, Harry, me too," Calum answered, bro-hugging him.

"So Michael tell me where all the ingredients lay so I can help you," Liam said.

"Right this way," Michael guided him as Liam playfully slapped him on the back.

"So where's our youngster?" Niall asked.

"Out, like always. He's been compelling humans to see if any of them saw a glimpse of Allison," Calum sighed.

"You're all really obsessed with this girl aren't you?" Harry asked.

"Yeah, there's something special about her. She made the boys happy again, something I hadn't seen in a long time. Anyway, where are Louis and Ashton?" Calum asked.

"Louis serving his time with the big boss and Ashton said he had to do something first," Niall replied.

"What did he do now?"

"You know, being Louis. Acting rebellious, pulling pranks, braking rules, the usual," Harry shrugged.

The three demons heard the front door open and close so they turned their heads towards the sound and found Ashton with an angry Luke.

"It thought that I made it clear that I didn't want anything to do with you," Luke coldly told Ashton.

"Luke, I know I made a mistake, but while I was gone this week I was searching for some reinforcement," The older demon explained, gesturing to Harry and Niall.

"You were gone for a whole week?" The blonde asked.

"You didn't know?"

"Of course I didn't know. I was hardly in the house myself," he answered.

"That doesn't matter right now, we need to come up with an idea to get Allison back," Calum interrupted.

"What do you have in mind?" Harry asked.

"At this moment? Not so much, Michael and I weren't even able to track her down. So without knowing where she is, we can't do much," He sighed.

"Have you tried following the bond?" Ashton suggested.

"Yeah tried but failed," Calum sighed.

"Do you mind if I try?" He asked carefully.

Calum made a move that meant 'why not'. He was so desperate at the moment that he wanted to try everything even if that means trying the same thing over and over again.

Luke was glaring at him he knew that Ashton would be able to follow the bond because they had a relationship. He couldn't help but feel jealous. Not because he was in love with Allison, he felt jealous because Ashton was the one who ruined everything and he would be the one who would save the day. He felt jealous because he was searching for Allison from the moment she disappeared and Ashton only had to try once.

"I can follow it 'till a certain moment, I need Liam and Michael's help to get me past the barrier of the shadow world," Ashton spoke up when he couldn't follow the bond any longer.

"I'll go get them," Niall suggested.

He left the room and an awkward silence fell over the four demons.

"Look, I don't know what happened between any of you, but don't let this girl get in the way of your friendship. She may be special, she may bring you joy, she may help you switch of that stupid switch. But you know her for what? A couple months? Maybe a year? You've known each other for over a decade. Don't let one person ruin that," Harry lectured the younger demons.

He went after Niall giving the three friends some privacy.

"He's right, you know. Look, I'm not saying that what Ashton did is okay, but he was gone for a week and you didn't even notice, Luke. And Ashton, I do not know what you think you were doing, but since when do we not tell each other that we're gone for a while. Michael and I have been searching our asses off trying to find you and Allison," Calum explained his point of view.

"I know I'm sorry, I should've said something, but I thought none of you wanted to do anything with me anymore," Ashton explained.

Calum rolled his eyes at this explanation, "Please, we're not in some high school drama. You're still our leader and friend. We said that in the heat of the moment". His eyes left Ashton's and went to Luke.

He sighed deeply before giving his opinion, "I don't forgive you, at least not yet. I will stop leaving the house for so long as long as we start coming up with an idea,"

"Sounds good for me," Ashton agreed.
