Everyone was working on finding this one girl, this one girl who meant the world to four demons.

Ashton was able, with the help of Liam and Michael, to find Allison. She was, like they thought, in the shadow-world with Jake.

Michael casted a spell that made it possible for everyone to feel the connection and know where she was at all time.

As the days past, Ashton grew weaker. Michael tried to explain that it was because he and Allison weren't together, but Ashton didn't want to listen. He still blamed the pole that pierced his body two weeks ago.

"You can't keep blaming that stupid pole. Why can't you just see that your bond with Allison is growing weaker?" Calum said in frustration as Ashton complained about feeling ill for the millionth time.

"I can because it's the truth. My bond with Allison is still as strong as before. Jake just poisoned that pole to drain my power," Ashton dismissed the theory.

"Whatever, we need to focus on the plan," Luke said, waving Ashton's ignorance off.

Calum and Ashton shared one last look before turning their attention to the younger demon, "Okay, what's the plan?"

"Jake is trying everything to get out of the shadow-world and he's gonna succeed, especially since he has Allison. All Jake needed was the blood of the person who got him there, which is Allison's father. Because he gave her his blood, it runs through her veins, which means he now has that ingredient. Other ingredients are his own blood and a sacrifice," Liam explained.

"So we thought we should wait 'till that moment, because we can't attack Jake while he's in this other world. He knows it better than all of us so he'll overpower us," Michael continued.

"But once Jake is out, he'll seek power. So what better way to have power when you have one of the most powerful demons beside you?" Niall finished.

All heads turned towards Ashton while he had a thoughtful look on his face.

"What's option two?" He asked.

"There is no option two, we don't have time for that. Look, I know that you don't like the idea of being bait, but you're the one who got us here in the first place. Might as well own up for it," Luke replied rather harshly.

Ashton sighed, knowing his friend was right, "alright, I'll do it."

"Perfect so now we just have to play the waiting game," Michael said.

And so they did. Liam and Michael were making potions that could help them, while the others kept training by dueling each other.

Luckily for them, they only had to wait a week.

"It's time," the very weak Ashton said.

"You sure you don't want me to give you that shot so you'll be able to reach your full strength for a couple of hours?" Michael asked.

"I'm fine, let's just go and get this over with," Ashton waved him off.

Truth is, he finally realized that the others were right and that he was losing his power because of what he did to Allison. That's why wanted this to be over as fast he could so he could explain himself.

And so the demons went to search for Allison and Jake. They found them in an abandoned warehouse.

Niall stopped them because he could sense a lot more heartbeats than they anticipated.

"He is definitely not alone," Niall mumbled.

"How many?" Luke asked.

"Hard to tell," he said while his eyes were concentrated on the building, "I would say around thirty to forty,"

"That many? Where did he even find so many people," Calum said surprised.

"Doesn't matter we have to stick to the plan," Michael said.

All the others nodded and looked at Ashton. He sighed and got up.

He made eye contact with Michael and he nodded, giving him a sign that he was ready to step in if needed.

Ashton turned his head towards the building and walked inside.

"Ashton, my friend, what a surprise," Jake said when Ashton was only a couple feet away from him.

"I came to offer you a deal," a very pale looking Ashton said.

"And what might that be?" Jake asked.

"I want to join you," He answered, "none of my friends want me there anymore, I'm growing weaker everyday because I'm so far away from Allison and besides I know you're seeking power. Having one of the most powerful demons on your side doesn't sound so bad does it,"

Jake looked him suspiciously up and down. His eyes were squinted and his lips were pursed before they broke into a smile, "I like what you're proposing but I'm going to decline,"

"What! why?" Ashton exclaimed.

"Because I lived longer then you and fought more fights to know that you're not here to join me. I bet your friends are waiting to barge in right now," and right when Jake said it, his minions came in hold his struggling friends. Each one was being held by at least two demons.

Jake scanned their faces, "you brought back up I see. Louis' still in hell I assume, but where is Calum?"

The group of friends didn't even realize he was missing 'till they all looked around and noticed that he was indeed not among them.

"Find him!" Jake yelled. Two demons shot immediately up and rushed out to search for him.

Jake sighed and walked up to Ashton, placing a hand on his shoulder. "I don't know why you thought this plan could work. I'm stronger than you, I'm better prepared than. Whatever you do I will always be one step ahead of you,"

"Where is Allison?" He weakly asked.

"Right here," the familiar girl voice said.

She was standing a floor higher, looking down on everyone.

"Allison! You're okay!" Luke exclaimed.

"Of course she is okay. While all of you were busy with the devil knows what, here demon side got the upper hand," Jake said motioning for her to come downstairs.

"That's incredible, Allison that means you're powerful enough to defeat them and-" Michael started but stopped when he saw her emotionless looking at him.

"You really think I'm going to help you? After everything that happened?" She said with a stern look on her face.

"Allison I'm-" Ashton tried to say something but decided to stay silent when she glared at him.

"I don't even wanna hear it. You made it clear that you didn't want me. All of you did, I kept waiting and waiting for you to come get me but months past and you never did," she said emotionless and that's what scared them the most. The lack of emotions.

They knew she was incredibly powerful, but with her emotions switched off, they feared the worst.

As Allison was confronting her former friends, Jake got news from his followers that they couldn't find Calum.

"What do you mean you can't find him!" Jake yelled angrily and just as the words left his mouth the whole building turned pitch black.
