Gemini Continued

After receiving the address from Mark, Gemini went to the local mark to buy some supplies. He figured that since he planned on making the time to talk to Mark, he might as well relax.

He bought ready made dinners, A couple of packs of beers (to losen tongues) and some snacks.

He sent a message to Mark stating he already arrived.

Mark went down to fetch him.

"Were you able to Park okay" Mark said as they were riding the elevator.

"Normal." Gem replied.

It was an awkward ride because no one wanted to speak up.

They settled in the living room.

Mark fix the ready made food for them to eat.

"Should we eat in the dining room or in your living room?"

"Let's just eat in the living room. Why did bring beers, planning to party or something?"

Mark asked.

"Let place them in your fridge first, let's eat first, then we talk. I haven't had anything today and I am starving."

"Whatever you say. I guess."

After their meal Gem quickly got two cans of beerfrom the fridge then casually sat on Mark's couch.

" You can drink alone. I don't drink." Mark quickly said when Gem attempted to give him a can.

"You've never drink before?" Asked Gem.

""No."

"Such a baby."

"You don't have to mock me. I'm not a bad person like"

"Like me? I'm of age, we are the same age so you are not a minor. I'll drink by myself then. You said we should talk. What do we need to talk about."

"We only have one topic that we can talk about, don't act like you don't know."

"Yeah."

"Well, my best friend and your brother. I thought about it, I know I said that I'll try to get Fourth to stay away from your twin but..."

"That's no longer the case right? I am also thinking the same thing."

"So what do we do now, Gem?"

"We support them, I guess. My brother, he did not live a happy life. He's not the best but when I saw him smile at that kid, I can feel that my brother is sincere. I want him to be really happy."

"Well, I I just want my best friend to be happy too. He, Fourth his too innocent. He
is kind and a bit gullible, I've been protecting him for as long as I can remember, he doesn't have a lot of friends because he can't handle people. I am happy that he found someone to love, but I must admit, I hated your brother."

"Why, are you jealous? Because you are no longer the person that kid needs the most?"

"No, I love Fourth."

This shocked Gemini. He didn't know Mark would say that out loud.

"Don't look at me like that, it's not what you think. I love Fourth, yes. But not in a romantic way. I love him like a friend, like a brother. We've been together for years, I am protective of him. I know everything about him, his likes, dislikes and all, he knows everything about me too. I hated ur twin not because he is becoming Fourth's universe, I hated him because heis not the best influence for Fourth."

"Well, I agree with you on that, but you can't protect Fourth forever. You will need to live your life, you will have your own significant other."

"Yes, but I will always going to be there for Fourth for as long as he needs me. Our kids will also going to be friends."

"You are a good person."

"I know." They both laughed.

Gem stood up to get another can of beer.

"Bring me one too." Mark said.

Gem raised his eyebrow.

"I need to grow up eventually"...
