Five times Davey was jealous over Jack and the one time Jack got jealous over Davey

It's a long title, see? You can understand why the title is the way it is.

Anyway, Davey doesn't, exactly, get jealous. He's possessive, if anything. It's nothing concerning like "You can't hang out with anyone I don't approve of" or anything like that but more so Davey doesn't like people flirting with Jack, or staring too long, and he gets a bit more protective when Jack looks really good because he knows Jack does and because he does other people know that too! It's completely rational (it is not).

Jack's rarely jealous because Davey's hot. He knows Davey's hot. He's too busy thinking about how hot Davey is to notice what anyone else thinks. That's it.

Plus, everyone seemed to like jealous Davey despite how badly written that chapter is, and it's been a while, so here's this:)

Enjoy!

————————————————————————

Davey was aware Jack was handsome. He stared at him every chance he got.

He knew Jack had naturally caring green eyes, and a smirk that seemed to be imprinted on his face like a stamp to paper. He also knew Jack's words could fry a brain just by its tone, and he was often a victim it, leaving him nothing better than melted slime. He knew what annoyed him, what he enjoyed, and who enjoyed him—everything. He knew Jack better than he knew himself.

But this guy was staring at Jack like he knew all of that too, and Davey hated liars.

His name was Derek, and Derek was doing a lot. He was putting his hand on Jack's shoulder, batting his eyes lashes with a sultry twinge, and just too close for Davey's comfort. It wasn't that he believed Derek could steal Jack away from him—he had that man wrapped around his finger like a money to a tree—but he was just too touchy. Right now, Derek was rubbing his hand up and down Jack's bicep, which was cutting it too close.

Davey was across the room before he knew it, plastering a fake smile on his face. He wrapped his arm around his boyfriend's shoulders and kissed his temple. "What are you doing, Jackie?"

"Oh!" Jack greeted in surprise, reaching to lock his fingers with Davey's. He tried to hold in his laughter as Davey stared at Derek with an expression that was nothing more than pissed-off, but he couldn't help the smile on his face. "This is Derek. He was inviting me to coffee."

Maybe he stressed the importance of the first-person object pronoun, but who was going to tell him not to? He watched as Davey's brow twitched in annoyance, and his smile went from falsely kind to sinister. "Is that right?"

"Yeah, man", Derek responded with a smug grin, and Jack didn't know how to tell him he wasn't helping. "I thought he was cute, and I wanted to get to know him more. Problem?"

Davey almost killed him.

"Okay", Jack interrupted, a little less amused than before. "It's getting pretty late, we should head home. That's a no on the coffee thing, by the way."

Derek's brows furrowed in confusion, and Davey rolled his eyes at the cluelessness of the man in front of them. "Why?"

"I'm taken", Jack stated obviously, and Derek's face lit up with red. Davey waved at him sassily, a smug look on his face. "Davey's my boyfriend."

He would never get tired of hearing that because he was, in fact, Jack's boyfriend, lover, best friend—it didn't really matter. The point was that Derek wasn't any of that. Davey was.
