"You know I noticed so many things about you tonight?"

Romeo turned over to look at their partner with a sleepy smile, and Specs did their best not to kiss it away. "What did you notice?"

"Well, for one, you're a huge Star Trek fan", Specs pointed as Romeo rolled his eyes fondly. "Or nerd, I should say."

"It's a good series", Romeo protested. "I like Spock. And I'm not only interested in-"

"Yeah, I know, sweetheart", Specs nodded, placing their arms behind their head. The tiles of the roof dug into their skin, but it was otherwise more comfortable than lying flat on their back. "You also love Guardians of the Galaxy. Rocket Raccoon, specifically."

"He's funny", Romeo shrugged, and Specs laughed at him. "What else did you notice?"

"Well, your mom chews with her mouth open, but you chew with it closed", Specs pointed out, and Romeo furrowed his brows. "What?"

"That's a very specific observation", Romeo stated, although he didn't feel uncomfortable. Specs tended to notice things others did not, like the fact that Jack aligns all of his art supplies before using it, or that Mush taps his mouth when he's thinking. To most people, Specs seemed nosy, and to others, they were attentive, which is a trait that complimented Romeo royally. "But yeah. What else?"

"You liked the color blue as a little kid", Specs grinned, glancing over at their boyfriend. "And you had braces in elementary school. You always greet your mom when you enter a room, and you compliment her on everything she does. I thought you were flattering her, but you genuinely mean what you say."

"Of course I do", Romeo confirmed, moving to place his head on Specs's chest. Specs felt him sigh when they placed their arm around him as he visibly relaxed. "My mom's done so much for me. She deserves to feel good about herself, too."

"I like that", Specs admitted, softly rubbing Romeo's shoulder. "Your mom's adorable."

"Yeah, you got the nice her tonight", Romeo mumbled. Specs laughed. "She used to be very easy to piss off, but it's okay. She's done so much for me and our family, by herself at that. She's a superhero."

"She is", Specs added, smiling down at their boyfriend. The breeze of the night enwrapped them like a blanket against the humid air, allowing for a comfortable temperature under the sky. Romeo cuddled into Specs's shoulder, trying his hardest not to fall asleep. "Do you think she approves of me?"

"Mhm", Romeo hummed, nodding. "She told me she was so excited to meet you, and when you went to the...the bathroom, she said you were a very nice person. The bright side is she stopped asking me when I'll get a girlfriend. Now, she wants to know when we're getting married."

Specs chuckled. "We'll get married later down the line. When we're ready."

Romeo hummed, sighing. "I'd like to marry you."

"Me, too, Romey", Specs whispered, and Romeo felt his heart swell. Specs always seemed to have that effect on him, leaving him speechless when they flirted, and his heart pounding in his chest whenever they called. He should've been worried about the effects on his health Specs seemed to have on him, but if they were a drug, he's sure he'd be addicted by now, and he wouldn't even care. "You look so good in a suit."

" 'M too tired to flirt with you right now", Romeo mumbled, and Specs laughed. " 'M gonna sleep."

"Wanna go inside?"

"No", Romeo sighed, cuddling into Specs's side. "Just wanna stay out here. With you."

Specs kissed his forehead with a smile, then placing their chin on Romeo's head, fully wrapping him in a protective hug. "Okay. Goodnight, sweetheart."

"Night, dude."

They did their best to hold in a laugh as Romeo fell asleep, but they never refrained from smiling. They felt themself getting cold, but it was a sacrifice needed to make to keep this position, listening to Romeo's breathing patterns and the soft sound of the New York traffic.

Besides, Romeo was all the blanket he needed.

Yeah, it's short, I know. It's just an idea I had and immediately had to write. I feel like I don't have to write a whole plot line for Spromeo the same way I don't for Blush—it's sort of obvious that they're meant to be.

But today is also a pretty big day for me: I have found my ambition again! Yay! It was also my last day of school, and for once, I didn't feel like it was the end of something, but a beginning. I mean, I'm going to be a junior soon (Yes, guys, I am probably older than most of you. Don't make me feel old). So, big things are coming for me. I can feel it.

It might have something to do with Deadpool & Wolverine coming out this summer, but that's neither here nor there (ITS THE COLLAB OF THE CENTURY).

Anyway, what did you think?

Thanks for reading!!
