February 10th, 2024 📍Ariana's House
It was currently around 6 P.M and Serenity was at Ariana's house getting things together for their galentines event.
"Okay, you think it's done?"
"Yeah. Let me take some pics." Serenity spoke before pulling out her phone.
She quickly took pictures of the decor before also posting the ones Ari took of her in the car.
As she finished scrolling Sekani began to call.
"One sec Ari. This your brother." She excused herself.
"Hey baby, what's up?"
"Come home phat. I miss you."
"I can'tt, I promised the girls I'd stay at least 3 hours."
"Mmcht."
"You supposed to be having guys night anyways. Enjoy it boo."
"You know id rather be with you."
"It's okay baby." She laughed at his dramatics.
"I'll call you when I'm ready okay? Be safe and I love you."
"I love you more phat girl."
She kissed into the phone before hanging up and rejoining Ari and the other few girls who had shown up.
"Must have been your man huh?" One of the other girls Jayda, taunted.
"And it was." She spoke confidently making all the other girls laugh.
"I just know he want you home." Ari spoke laughing as well.
"Leave my baby alone yall." She playfully rolled her eyes before sitting down next to Ari.
"Ooouu I want some of this pizza so damn bad." Another girl named Dream spoke.
"For real." They all spoke before they continued to eat and gossip.
Back at Serenity and Sekani house:
"Folks nem trash as fuck." Sekani laughed as he and his friends played 2k24.
"Shut the fuck up!" His closest friend Durk laughed.
"Y'all want one of these?" Booka asked holding up a bag of percs.
"Nah, Ren will kick my ass if I do some shit like that again."
"Not you scared of your bitch." Some random that came with Booka spoke.
"The fuck you just say?" Sekani immediately stood to his feet.
"Im just statin facts. Your girl scare you."
"Nah jit, you gotta go." Durk spoke up quickly getting aggravated with him as well.
Durk loved Serenity like a sister and he wasn't going to let no one talk on her name.
"Baby!" Serenity shouted as she entered the house not knowing what she was walking into.
"Dang, why it's so tense in here?" Ari questioned as she walked over to her boyfriend.
"This nigga tripping and needs to leave." Durk spoke up causing Serenity to realize there was a stranger in her apartment.
"All I did was state facts. Sekani pussy ass is afraid of you."
At this point K was tired of hearing him run his mouth and pulled his gun from his waistband.
"Say folks, get the fuck out my crib 'fore i shoot your dumb ass."
Serenity just looked at her man a little turned on.
He quickly got up and left.
"Alright y'all, I'm out." Ari and Mario said as they left. Followed by Durk and Booka.
"Hi my baby." Serenity spoke as she walked over to K.
"Wassup Phats. How was your lil girls night?"
"It was fun. Your guys night?"
"It was straight. You ready for bed?"
"Yeah, carry me please?" He swooped her off her feet and carried her to their bedroom.
"I'm so sleepy pooh!"
"Go to bed phat." She quickly slipped out of her outside clothes and laid in only her panties before climbing under the blanket.
Sekani also took off his outside clothes leaving him in just underwear before cuddling up to her.
"Goodnight boo. I love you."
"Good night Phats. I love you mo." He kissed her face one more time before they both began to drift into sleep.
As she drifted to sleep she couldn't help but think back to the first time Sekani had publicly defended her.

A 14 year old Serenity was crying as another kid continuously teased her for her figure and weight.
"Aye! The fuck going on here?" Sekani came around the corner questioning.
"Look at this fat ass girl." The boy spoke with a laugh.
Instead of even replying, he looked over and saw Serenity crying and quickly he punched the boy in the face.
"Tell her sorry." He spoke, he was so mad you could hear the anger in his voice.
"I'm sorry Serenity."
"Nah like you mean it." He hit him another time.
"Fuck, I'm so sorry. I ain't even mean it. Please make him stop." The boy rushed out looking directly at Serenity as she quietly watched.
"Don't let no body find out it was me that did you like this and I hear you talk about her again and it'll be worse, on King David." A 15 year old Sekani spoke before knocking him out.
"Shit K, come on let me clean you up." She quickly rushed him to the nearest bathroom and sat him in on top of the toilet in a handicap stall.
"I'm fine Ren, you good?"
"I'm okay. Let me clean your hand."
She pulled a first aid kit out of her bag and slowly cleaned his bloody knuckles and wrapped it up.
She sat in his lap as she finished wrapping his hand.
"Thank you Sekani." She quietly spoke as she went to get up.
"It ain't a thing. Stop letting people talk about you. You're perfect." He spoke not allowing her to get up.
"It's fine, really."
He reached forward and kissed her causing her to blush but slowly kiss back.
"Thank you Phats."
"You're welcome." She quietly spoke before packing up her things and heading towards class.
From that moment on, she knew he'd never play about her.
