📍 Their shared Apartment
"When you think you want to tell everyone Phats?"
"I kinda want to wait, I feel like it's something special for just us that we should keep between us for now."
"Okay baby. Whatever you want."
"Thank you love."
"Mhmm." He hummed before leaving the bathroom.
The couple was getting ready to split up for the day, both going to work and not seeing each other until dinner later.
"We need to go shopping for the baby too. Maybe this weekend?" She questioned as she slipped into her crocs.
"Yeah fasho. I love you Ren, I'll see you tonight." He kissed her multiple times before they split into their separate cars.
Serenity quickly made it to work and clocked in ready for another day.
"Nurse Ren! Good to see you!" One of her many coworkers smiled at her.
"You as well!" She smiled back before entering a patients room.
"Hi! I'm nurse Serenity, who's this handsome little guy and what seems to be the problem today?" She questioned looking up with a smile.
"Hi! This is Dante. He's complaining of a stomach ache the last few days."
"Hi Dante! It's so nice to meet you."
"Hi!" The little boy smiled up at her.
"I'm just going to take some of your vitals okay?"
"Okay." He continued to play on Ipad while she took his vitals.
"I'll send the doctor right in."
"Thank you!"
"No problem! When you're done Dante, I'll have a lollipop and sticker for you."
"Woohoo!"
Serenity smiled at the two of them before exiting the room and letting the doctor know what was going on.
"Hey girl!" Alyssa spoke as she turned to sit at her desk.
"Hey love! How have you been?"
"I'm okay, just ready for another vacation."
"I hear that."
"Nurse Serenity, you have a patient in room 16."
"Thank you! See you later Lyss."
Opening the door Serenity was met with Jayden, a women she didn't know, and a young child she didn't know.
"Hi! I'm nurse Serenity and who is this cutie?" She smiled down at the little girl as if she didn't even see him.
"I'm Amariana!"
"Hi there cutie! Mom will you confirm your name?"
"Kendra."
"Perfect! What brought you all in today?"
"I was playing with my daddy and I hurt myself." The young girl spoke.
"She hurt herself when he pulled her up by her arms."
"Okay, are you okay if I look at it Amariana?"
"Sure!"
Taking a few minutes to get a good look, she was able to see that her arms was out of it socket and would need to be popped back in.
"Okay! It seems like whenever daddy pulled you up by the arms, a little tiny accident happened, and your arm just got a little out of place. No biggie, happens all the time, I'll have the doctor come help you!"
"Thank you Nurse Ren!" The little girl smiled at her.
"You're welcome honey. If y'all need anything please let me know."
"Thank you!" The mother spoke before Serenity left the room.
10 hours later and the day was finally over. Serenity was clocking out and on her way to get herself and Sekani dinner.
"Welcome to Zaxbys, what can I get for you?"
"Can I get two number twos w fries, sprites, and Zax sauce please."
"Sure thing. Anything else?"
"Let me also get an order of the bacon cheese fries please."
"Okay. $20.04 at the first window."
"Thank you!"
After getting and paying for their food, Serenity was getting out the car at the same time Sekani pulled in.
"Hi baby." She smiled at him.
"Wassup Phats. I'll get the drinks mama."
"Thank you bubs."
"You welcome. Come in before you get sick Phat."
She quickly followed behind him and made their way inside. She placed all the food down on the table and began washing her hands so that she can eat.
"I got something for you phat."
"Aww what you got for me baby?"
"Feed my JR first and then I'a show you."
"Okayy." She dragged out before eating her food and engaging in small talk with him.
"You ready?"
"Yeah." She smiled up at him as he grabbed her hand and led her upstairs.
"Alright here you go." He handed her an envelope before going to sit on the bed while watching her open it.
"Oh my goodnessss! Sekani!" She pouted as tears of joy slowly formed in her eyes.
Sekani had surprised her with flights to Dubai for their "baby moon." It was something Serenity retweeted once on Twitter and now here he was making her dreams come true.
"Thank you thank you." She walked in between his legs and kissed him deeply.
"You welcome Phats. We leave in two weeks so you got some time to get everything ready."
"Thank you so much Kani for real. You always seem to make my dreams come true."
"You're welcome my baby." He pulled her into his lap and kissed her face over and over.
