📍Serenity's Family Home
"My babies!" Serenity's mom smiled as she opened her door revealing Serenity and Sekani.
"Hey mama." They both spoke before giving her a hug and walking in.
"Where's pops?" Sekani asked.
"He's down in the basement playing the game with Zay."
"Alright I'll be back then. Y'all good?"
"Yeah baby go head." He kissed her cheek before heading downstairs to mess with them.
"So how are you baby?" Her mother asked while she cheeked the food.
"I'm okay mama."
"Just okay?"
"I've been a little tired but I'm sure it's just from being sick and going back to work."
"Maybe so." Before she could continue the doorbell rang and Serenity went to get it.
"Hey Ma" she spoke opening the door for Mama Faye.
"Hi baby. Where is everyone?"
"All the boys are in the basement, Mama and I are in the kitchen, and Mimi is upstairs."
"Alrighty. Here's dessert baby."
"I'll put it on the table."
"Thank you!" Mama Faye gave her a smile before heading into the kitchen to find Sasha.
"Mimi!" Serenity shouted as she headed upstairs looking for her sister.
"Renny!" Her door swung open revealing the little girl with makeup all over her face.
"Hi my love. What you doing in here?"
"I tried doing my makeup but I suck." She pouted.
"Want some help?"
"Yes Please!" The little girl became visibly excited.
"Alright come on."
Serenity showed her how to apply eyeshadow, blush, and a little lip gloss. This was as far as she would go since Amiah was only 8.
"I look gorgeous! Thanks Renny."
"Of course baby."
"What about my hair?"
"What about it Miah?"
"I want something different then these pigtails. They're so little girl like."
"What about some quick braids?"
"Ooouh Yess!"
"Okay sit down while I get my stuff."
Serenity went down the hall to her old bedroom and found whatever she had left over from the last time she was here to do her hair.
"Okay, I'm thinking some cute cornrows to the back. This way it's quick and still very cute."
"Okay!"
Serenity quickly knocked out 8 cornrows in Amaiah's hair using a little bit of weave for length and fullness.
"What do you think sissy?" She asked handing Mimi the mirror.
"I love it! I look smokin!"
"Relax girly. You look beautiful though."
"Thanks so much Renny. I love you!"
"I love you too sissy." They both climbed into her bed and began to talk about boys and all things going on at Mimi's school before they were interrupted by Sekani.
"Kannnnniiii." The little girl dragged out overly excited to see her favorite person.
"You look so beautiful Mimi!"
"Thanks Kani. Sissy did it for me."
"She did such a good job!"
"Right!"
"Dinner is ready though, come on y'all."
Mimi hopped on Sekanis back as he headed downstairs to eat dinner with everyone else.
"Ooooh wow. Mimi you look cute." Borh mothers commented on the little girls beauty.
"Thanks!"
"Renny! Hi my baby." Her father spoke as she also descended down the stairs.
"Hi daddy!" She gave him a hug before also hugging her brother and sitting down next to Sekani.
Sekani placed his hand onto her thigh once she was seated and they all began to eat.
"So Zay, how's basketball season?" Mama Faye asked.
"It's going alright, I'm hoping to be drafted this year."
"Aw that's great baby."
The conversations were pretty casual as everyone continued to eat and relax around Sasha's home.
"Bye guys. I love you!" Serenity shouted one more time before her and Sekani left.
"You good baby?" He questioned as they got into the car.
"Yeah. I just hate leaving them."
"You want to move closer?"
"Not until we have our house baby. Thank you though."
"Anything for you." He kissed her hand as he drove before they drifted into a comfortable silence for their ride home.
