miyuki stood at the end of the hallway of the floor where izuku's apartment was, a bundle of nerves and excitement, waiting outside izuku's home. he had called her the day they received the entrance exam results super excited. he'd gotten into u.a., his dream school.

initially, miyuki found herself confused by izuku's admission into u.a., as she had believed he was quirkless. however, izuku stated that his rescue points had gotten him his place at u.a. despite this explanation, miyuki remained confused, especially after witnessing his glowing arm during the entrance exam. nonetheless, she chose not to press deeper, assuming izuku had just gotten his quirk later than most kids like she did and trusting he would share when the time was right.

as izuku walked out the door, she couldn't contain her enthusiasm. "hi mrs. midoriya!" she greeted his mom with an infectious smile. izuku's mother appeared, returning the smile with warmth. "hi miyuki! take care of izuku for me, please?" she requested, glancing at her son, who couldn't help but protest with a groan.

"mom~" izuku's whine only made miyuki giggle. "of course i will! have a good day!" with that, she wrapped her arm around izuku's shoulder, as they set off towards u.a.

izuku's mom watched the two with a smile still on her face as she snapped a picture of the two.

miyuki stood alongside izuku in front of the classroom door, her eyes widening in awe. "wow, this door is huge! there's no way any students are this tall," she remarked, her mouth agape.

"the most promising students in the country are waiting behind this door!" izuku exclaimed with a mix of excitement and nervousness in his voice.

"you think kacchan is a promising student?" miyuki snickered, teasingly. "oh c'mon yuki! don't say that, you'll jinx it!" izuku responded, hoping he wouldn't end up in the same class as bakugou.

"let's go nerd." she imitated bakugou's voice playfully. miyuki opened the door and entered ahead of izuku.

"take your feet off of that desk now!" the blue-haired boy from the entrance exam commanded, directing his attention to bakugou, who grinned in response. "it's the first day and you're already disrespecting this academy by scuffing school property, you cretin!"

miyuki turned to izuku, noticing his pale expression, before finding a seat in the back next to a girl with black hair in a slicked ponytail. miyuki introduced herself with a warm smile. "hello~ i'm miyuki satomi," she greeted, as she sat down. "oh uh, i'm momo yaoyorozu," momo replied. miyuki nodded as she turned to her other side to see a boy with half-and-half hair next to her.

"oh wow, your hair is cool," she complimented him, as she stared at it looking amazed. he looked her up and down making her feel awkward. the boy's response was short, "thank you." he replied with no emotion in his tone whatsoever. miyuki nodded awkwardly as she clasped her hands in front of her and scanned the classroom.

as the classroom settled, a man with long hair and dressed in all black emerged from a yellow sleeping bag, "it took eight seconds before you all shut up," he remarked, addressing the class. "that's not gonna work. time is precious. rational students would understand that."

miyuki couldn't help but wonder if this was their teacher.

"hello, i'm shota aizawa. your teacher," he announced, receiving gasps from the room. "right, let's get into it. put these on and head outside," he instructed, taking out blue training suits from his yellow sleeping bag.

_____

"a quirk assessment?"

"but orientation! we're gonna miss it!" ochaco protested, her voice filled with concern. all the students in u.a. were at orientation, while the class 1-a students found themselves in training suits outside. "oh yeah... we're missing orientation..." miyuki murmured upsettingly to herself, realizing she had completely forgotten about it.
