miyuki sighed softly as she took the elevator up to her room. she had finished her morning routine and eaten breakfast. now it was time to get ready for school.

inside her room, she approached her closet and took out her uniform. first, the dark green skirt, its fabric soft under her fingers. she carefully tucked her white button-up shirt into the waistband, adjusting it until it looked perfect. next came the red tie, followed by the grey vest that hugged her form just right. she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror and smiled feeling satisfied.

before she could put on her socks, a loud knock interrupted her. "c'mon yuki!" momo's voice was bright. miyuki smiled to herself. "i'm going!" she called back, pulling on her thigh-high white socks and slipping her feet into her black loafers.

it had been a while, but this morning she took the time to put all her ear piercings back in the small, silver hoops and studs that sparkled faintly. with a small sigh of satisfaction, she slid her contacts into place, blinking until her vision cleared. she felt happy, a piece of herself she had finally reclaimed. she hadn't worn her piercings since before the internships started, it had been a long time.

she let her long black and white hair fall loose down her back, it brushed against the back of her mid-thighs. she adored her hair.

quickly grabbing her backpack from the corner of the room, she swung it over her shoulder and stepped out to meet momo, who was waiting in the hallway. "everyone's ready downstairs," momo said, her tone happy. miyuki nodded, a small smile playing on her lips as she followed her to the lounge.

...

miyuki sat in class with her classmates, listening as mr. aizawa addressed them in his usual monotone voice. "i believe i mentioned this already," he began, his sharp gaze scanning each student, "but your main focus this summer is obtaining provisional hero licenses."

everyone nodded at his words.

mr. aizawa narrowed his eyes, continuing with seriousness, "do not take this lightly. a hero license means you're responsible for human lives. the exam is extremely difficult, and only a small percentage of students pass each year."

miyuki exchanged a glance with yaoyorozu, feeling a bit nervous. mineta's voice broke through the silence with concern. "it's really that hard to get a provisional license?"

"yes," aizawa replied, without missing a beat. "in order to prepare, today you'll concentrate on creating something new...two ultimate moves."

as his words settled in, the classroom doors swung open, and in walked midnight, ectoplasm, and cementoss. the sight of them made everyone gasp suprised.

"ultimate moves?" the students echoed in disbelief.

kaminari and mina shared a quick glance. "an exam is a normal school thing," they started.

"but this is total hero work!" kirishima and sero finished, their voices filled with excitement.

"when we say 'ultimate,'" ectoplasm explained, stepping forward, "we mean a move that will ensure you win against your opponent."

cementoss nodded, adding, "an action so unique to your identity that no other person can hope to copy it. simply put, you must learn to lean into your strengths."

"your moves represent who you are," midnight chimed in with a smirk. "these days, most pro heroes have an ultimate move. those who don't are fools."

miyuki felt a surge of determination. she'd been building resistance to her quirk for this, and now it was time to put her skills to the test.
