"oh, right. for those of you who passed the first test, please turn your attention to the screen," mera's voice echoed through the microphone, drawing everyone's focus. miyuki's eyes widened, and her jaw dropped at the sight on the screen...the massive battlefield filled with explosions, debris flying in every direction.

"why?!" a chorus of voices asked in shock, everyone watching in disbelief.

"there's only one more round to the exam," mera explained calmly. "your goal is simple: undertake rescue exercises and save the bystanders who are trapped in these disaster sites."

"save the what now?" kaminari asked, scratching his head as he exchanged a confused look with mineta.

miyuki chuckled softly and stepped forward, her voice gentle but patient. "bystanders. we learned about them in class, remember? they're the people caught in a disaster scene—innocent citizens who need to be saved."

kaminari and mineta blinked, slowly nodding. mera continued, "use this time to show us how you would carry out successful rescue procedures once you receive your provisional licenses. treat this as though it were the real thing."

miyuki's mind drifted to her internship with edgeshot. she remembered the chaos of that day, the panic of helping people escape from the nomu attack, the weight of responsibility pressing down on her. this rescue mission, though staged, felt all too familiar. except this time, there wouldn't be nomus chasing her.

"on the screen," shoji pointed out, snapping miyuki out of her thoughts.

the camera panned to show civilians trapped in the wreckage, little kids, elderly people, all scattered across the ruins of the site.

"little kids and old people?!" sato gasped, horrified.

"that's so dangerous! why are they here?!" mineta exclaimed, his voice trembling with worry.

"these specialists have been trained as professional persons in need of rescue," mera explained. "they're very popular. introducing the 'help us company,' also known as huc for short."

"so, they're basically actors, i guess?" sero mused, crossing his arms and eyeing the screen.

"it's the kind of job you never really think about," tsuyu said thoughtfully.

"but it's a necessary one in our world since they support our hero training," ojiro added with a sigh.

"the huc bystanders are dressed up like injured victims and are located throughout the disaster site. we'll be judging how well you protect them as you go about your mission," mera continued. "oh, and by the way, we'll be scoring you on a point system. if your points exceed the benchmark by the time the exercise ends, you pass. the test starts in ten minutes, so make any preparations now."

as the announcement ended, iida approached izuku and miyuki, his expression serious. "this looks familiar," he noted.

izuku nodded, tapping his chin thoughtfully. "it's like camino ward. i wonder if they based it off that."

"it's true that the situations are similar, but our only goal then was to rescue bakugou from the villains. we left the pros to handle the search and recovery. don't forget, there were a lot of casualties," iida said gravely, his eyes narrowing as he remembered.

"not this time," miyuki and izuku said in unison, their voices filled with determination.

just then, kaminari and mineta rushed toward them, arms flailing. "midoriya!" they yelled, clearly panicking.

miyuki chuckled, shaking her head. "that's my cue to leave," she muttered before walking over to the snack table where kirishima and bakugou stood.

"here, kiri, try this," she said, offering him a sugar cookie.
