"next team! that's you two kittens! ribbity and miss floater!" pixie-bob's voice rang out, directing tsuyu and uraraka to the front of the group.
izuku and miyuki stood nearby, anxiously waiting for their turn. miyuki clutched izuku's arm tightly, her nerves getting the best of her.
"what if we die from fear?" she whispered, her voice trembling.
izuku forced a nervous laugh, trying to mask his own anxiety. "you're not really helping, miyuki," he replied through gritted teeth.
miyuki quickly realized how much she was letting her fear show. "you're right. i'm sorry," she said, though her grip on his arm didn't loosen.
izuku glanced down at her hands still wrapped around his arm. "we're not even inside yet, and you're already more scared than me," he teased lightly, trying to break the tension. "if i remember correctly, the last time we watched a scary movie, you literally pee—"
before miyuki could protest, pixie-bob suddenly froze. "what's this foul smell in the air?" she asked, sniffing suspiciously.
izuku pointed toward the trees. "do you see that?"
mandalay's eyes widened in disbelief. "black smoke."
"has something been set ablaze?" iida asked, his voice laced with confusion.
"maybe a fire on the mountain?" ojiro suggested, though uncertainty was clear in his tone.
miyuki tightened her grip on izuku's arm again, her nervous chuckle betraying her hope. "please tell me this is part of the scare..."
but her hope shattered as pixie-bob was suddenly yanked off her feet, dragged away by a force. miyuki's eyes widened in shock.
"pixie-bob!" mandalay's shout cut through the air, panic filling her voice.
out of the shadows, a figure with long reddish hair and glasses appeared, holding what looked like a pillar that dug into pixie-bob's head. beside them stood another person with reptilian features and purple hair.
"what? no way! i thought they made sure no one could find us. so why the heck are there villains attacking this place?" mineta's voice trembled with despair.
miyuki's hand slipped away from izuku's arm as her fists clenched, anger flaring in her chest.
"pixie-bob!" izuku shouted, dashing toward the injured hero.
"this is bad," mandalay muttered, her teeth gritting in frustration.
"oh no... where's kota?!" izuku stopped in his tracks, frantically scanning the area for the boy.
the group quickly formed a defensive stance as they stared down the two villains. mandalay took this moment to warn everyone at the campsite through her telepathy.
"everyone! two villains attacked us. there might be more. return to camp immediately. we're regrouping. do not engage any enemies."
the purple-haired villain stepped forward, his voice smooth but menacing. "good evening, ua high school. we are part of the vanguard action squad of the league of villains."
"the league of villains? what are those guys doing here?" ojiro spat, anger seething in his words.
the person with reddish hair smirked, pinning the pillar into pixie-bob's head a bit harder. "i could crush this kitty's head so easily. should i, dears?"
miyuki's eyes narrowed, fury and fear battling for control as she gritted her teeth.
"you get away from her!" tiger's voice boomed, anger radiating from him.
