miyuki hummed a gentle tune as she scrolled through her phone, lying upside down on bakugou's bed. her hair spilled over the edge, and her legs dangled in the air, swinging slightly with the rhythm of her song. u.a. gave their students two days off so that they could recover from the sports festival. they would be back tomorrow.

outside, in the backyard, mei, was deep in conversation with bakugou's mom, mitsuki as they worked together.

mei's love for gardening was well-known, and mitsuki had eagerly called her over to help revive her garden while they caught up. it had been weeks since their last visit, and this was the perfect opportunity to reconnect. they had invited inko to join them, but she had prior commitments, so the trio planned to hang out the following week instead.

mitsuki's husband was out with his friends, and takumi was at a playdate.

back in bakugou's room, the peaceful atmosphere was abruptly shattered by his frustrated yell. "DAMN IT, KIRISHIMA, I TOLD YOU TO FOLLOW ME!" his voice boomed through his headset as he died in the game. "TELL YOUR MOM YOU'LL HELP HER LATER! WE NEED TO WIN."

he ripped off his headset and slammed it onto the desk in frustration. kirishima had left the game. miyuki couldn't help but stifle a laugh at his outburst.

"aw, is the little kacchan angry he lost the game?" she teased in a baby voice.

"SHUT IT, YOU MORON!" bakugou snapped, pointing at her with a fierce glare.

miyuki's laughter died down as an idea popped into her head. "we should go to that new ramen place down the street. i heard their spicy section will literally burn your insides!" she suggested, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"yeah, as if," he scoffed as he picked up his phone.

"what? you don't think so?" she asked, tilting her head in curiosity. when he didn't respond, she continued, "alright, katsuki, i guess it's too spicy for you... i'll go by myself." she walked out of his room, her voice dripping with fake disappointment.

"NOTHING IS TOO SPICY FOR ME," bakugou yelled, bolting after her.

"STOP YELLING, KATSUKI!" mitsuki's voice rang out from the garden, causing bakugou to grumble and miyuki to giggle.

as they walked outside, miyuki called out to the two older ladies. "we're going to that ramen place down the street. kacchan thinks it's too spicy for him!"

"i'm going to break those glasses, four eyes!" bakugou yelled, stomping off towards the restaurant.

"just be back safe!" mei called after them with a small smile. "beat katsuki, miyuki!" mitsuki cheered, giving her a thumbs-up.

"oh, i definitely will!" miyuki replied, running to catch up with bakugou.

"you have to wait for me, idiot!" she panted as she finally caught up to him.

"not my fault you're too slow," bakugou retorted.

"you know, kacchan, one day you're gonna look back and be like, 'wow, i really should've been nicer to miyuki,' and by then, i'll be gone," she sighed dramatically.

"in your dreams," he scoffed, rolling his eyes.

"i wish we could've battled against each other at the sports festival... it would've been so fun," miyuki pouted, recalling their childhood quarrels and playful battles.

"you're too weak. you lost to that icy hot bastard. if you learned how to control your quirk better, you would have won," bakugou said bluntly with a scoff.

miyuki fell silent, his words hitting a sensitive spot. she had always been praised for her powerful quirk, which basically combined multiple abilities. but what was the point if she couldn't control it properly? overusing it often caused her to faint and it made her feel frustrated.
