"now then. let's begin the last test." mr. aizawa stated. all of class 1-a stood outside with all of the u.a. teachers facing them. they had finished their written exam earlier in the day.

miyuki stood next to todoroki with a smile on her face. she was honestly quite excited for the practical exam. she had been training with bakugou the past few days.

"you idiot! you're too damn slow!" bakugou's voice rang out, filled with frustration and impatience as he glared at miyuki.

miyuki, not one to back down, snapped back. "obviously! you keep propelling yourself with your blasts! if i get near you, i'll go flying back!" her voice was sharp, matching his intensity.

with a huff, she flew down to the ground, feeling exhausted and needing a break, even if bakugou would never admit to needing one himself.

bakugou took this as an opportunity and blasted her without hesitation.

"i'm taking a break!" miyuki groaned, pushing herself up from the ground. her body screaming for rest.

"breaks are for the weak! we'll keep training until our limbs fall—" his words were cut off as miyuki extended her hands, sending a surge of lightning through him making him collapse, paralyzed.

"take a break!" she yelled, her voice echoing through the training ground. she grabbed her water bottle, chugging it down.

bakugou's eyes were practically flames as he shouted, "i'm gonna get you back!" he gritted his teeth, already plotting his next move.

"remember, it's possible to fail this final. if you wanna go to camp, then don't make any stupid mistakes," mr. aizawa warned his students, his eyes scanning their faces with a stern expression.

"uh. why are all the teachers here?" jirou asked, her confusion evident in her voice as she looked around at the teachers.

"i expect many of you have gathered information and believe you have some idea of what you'll be faced with today."

"we're fightin' those big ol' metal robots!" kaminari cheered confidently.

"fireworks! s'mores! here we come, camp!" mina added, her voice bright with excitement.

"actually, this year's tests..." principal nezu emerged from inside mr. aizawa's scarf. "...will be completely different, for various reasons."

"so cute!" miyuki gushed, her face lighting up, but the realization of his words soon made her expression fall.

i thought we were fighting robots...

"you're changing things?" yaoyorozu asked, her worried expression reflecting the anxiety of many students.

"the tests now have a new focus," principal nezu explained, hopping down to the ground. "there will be hero work, of course, but also teamwork and combat between actual people. so what does that mean for you? you students will be working together in pairs, and your opponents will be one of our esteemed ua teachers! isn't that fabulous?"

"we're...fighting the teachers?" ochaco and miyuki exclaimed in unison, their voices filled with worry.

"additionally, your partners and your opponents have already been chosen. they were determined at my discretion based on various factors, including fighting style, grades, and interpersonal relationships," mr. aizawa stated.

"first, yaoyorozu and todoroki are a team. against me." mr. aizawa's grin was almost scary.

"then we have midoriya, bakugo, and satomi paired together." all three of them gasped at mr. aizawa's words, shock written across their faces.
