It was one of those rare mornings when the D.E.B.S weren't awoken by Mr. Park's obnoxiously loud voice. Unfortunately for Danielle, despite the unexpected quiet, her mind was too preoccupied to drift back into sleep. Ever since her little chat with Minji, she spent the night restless. She tossed and turned all night long, until the first light of dawn began to peek through the curtains. Curse that damn selfie.

With two hours left to spare before she had to officially begin her day, Danielle decided to pass the time by browsing on her phone. She scrolled through Instagram, casually liking and commenting on some posts before moving on to watching her friends' stories. That's when she noticed a little number 1 sitting beside the DMs icon. Curious, she opened her inbox to see that it was from Minji.

Danielle had muted Minji's account last night, not wanting to entertain the girl any longer and potentially harm her career, but curiosity got the best of her. She couldn't resist the urge to check what Minji had sent. With trembling fingers, she tapped on the message.

Danielle blushed at the sight. It was a selfie of Minji in what looked like her car. The girl sported a baseball cap and a gray hoodie, a subtle curve at the corner of her mouth. Danielle chuckled as she could tell that the latter wasn't experienced in taking selfies, judging from the bad lighting and adorably awkward aura the photo had.

It was now Danielle's turn to send a photo. It was a close-up shot of her face, with only half of her bare face in the frame. Her pink tongue protruded out mischievously, a playful yet somewhat seductive gesture. The photo was adorned with various emojis and text that read, "Nope!"

Okay. Danielle was definitely inadvertently playing hard to get. She didn't realize the effect her behavior was having on Minji, remaining blissfully ignorant of how much impact her actions had on Minji.
