Several days had passed since Minji and Yujin had put their plans to leave behind the life of crime into full motion. They had taken it upon themselves to return all of their stolen loot, and the news had spread like wildfire, grabbing the attention of media outlets and the public alike. Articles and reports had been circulating on social media and various news channels, detailing the mysterious return of goods and the unexpected change of heart displayed by the notorious duo.

"Minji Kim comes clean?" Hyein reads the headline in a questioning tone, causing Haerin to pause her reading and look up at the TV. Haerin watched the TV screen as she registered the words, surprised and intrigued. She folded her newspaper, fully focusing on the news headline that had caught both of their attention.

"In a remarkable twist, large sums of stolen money have been reappearing in bank accounts. Authorities have been trying to determine the location of these wire transfers, however, have been unsuccessful at this time."

"Damn..." Hyein mutters. Haerin revealed a page from the newspaper, showcasing Minji's name and picture prominently. "They even have her here," she said, nudging the paper closer to Hyein.

Hanni scoffed as she plopped down on the couch beside the two girls. "Who the hell reads newspapers in 2024?" she quipped.

Music blared through the Bluetooth speakers, filling the room as Minji and Yujin passionately embodied the lyrics to the song.

"That I just want you to know♫" Minji clutched her fist like a makeshift microphone as she sang dramatically. "I've found a reason for me♫"

Yujin enthusiastically mimicked playing the drums with chopsticks, her head bobbing up and down to the rhythm. She played along with Minji's vocals, adding her own flair as she emulated a rockstar persona.

"TO CHANGE WHO I USED TO BEEE♫"

Yujin joined in on the singing, her voice rising in volume. There was an ironic twist to the situation as her over-the-top expressions and singing made it seem as if she were affected by the situation more than Minji herself.

The room filled up with more and more people, initially there to voice their noise complaints, but were quickly captivated by the energetic performance. People were entering one by one, some even equipped with booze in hand. Before long, the space was alive with a sea of voices joining in on the singing and dancing, the atmosphere thick with empathy for Minji.

Exhaustion washed over Minji and Yujin as they collapsed onto the bed after hours of nonstop music and impromptu partying. They were the final two left, the others having already called it a night. With a sigh, they settled down side by side.

"That was fun," Yujin panted, before looking over to Minji. "We should do it again."

"That sounds so wrong out of context," Minji said with a grin. Yujin erupted into a fit of laughter, her words unintentionally risqué.

"Shut up," Yujin giggles. "You still have to win your girl back tomorrow."
