Endgame was always a grand spectacle, a night where the usually serious spies and cops could let loose and enjoy themselves. This year, however, most of the D.E.B.S. had decided to attend the event without dates. Danielle, much to her dismay, however, was partnered with Jerry.

The room was transformed into a vibrant haven adorned with sparkling decorations that shimmered under the bright lights. The air was filled with the infectious energy of students dancing and singing along to popular hit pop songs, the beat pulsating throughout the space. Amidst the sea of joy and laughter, a few groups lingered near the food and drink tables, engaging in lighthearted conversations while eagerly anticipating the rest of the evening. Despite the occasional worries about the future, it appeared that, for the moment at least, they were genuinely enjoying themselves in the present.

Jerry's eyes glistened with excitement as he eagerly tugged at Danielle's arm. "Come on!" he exclaimed, a playful grin plastered across his face. Despite her initial hesitation, Danielle found herself being pulled toward the bustling dance floor.

Danielle couldn't help but internally cringe as Jerry joined in singing along to the music. His off-key voice paired awkwardly with his stiff dancing created a sight that was hard to ignore on the dance floor. She glanced around, hoping no one had noticed her partner's performance. Despite the embarrassment, she forced a polite smile, trying to hide her discomfort and discreetly distance herself from Jerry without being too obvious.

Under the cover of darkness, Minji's car was parked behind a large tree, its presence hidden from view of the bustling party. "What's the plan?" Minji asked Yujin, spreading out a map of the venue across the hood of her car.

"There's security here, here, and here," Yujin explained, her finger tracing the map, pinpointing key areas around the venue. "We'll infiltrate through the rooftop and take out this set of guards here." Minji listened intently, taking in the plan being laid out before her. Yujin's eyes scanned the map, her expression serious as she continued, "We go through these vents, drop down the elevator shaft, and then bungee-jump down to the dance floor."

Minji took a moment to digest the plan, her gaze flickering over the map as she mentally noted all the points they had discussed. "Okay, check. What's next?" Yujin gulped as she gingerly flipped the map over, revealing the next step of her plan, her eyes nervously observing Minji's reaction.

"Tell her that you love her," Minji read out loud. "Yujin, that's your plan? That's not a plan!" she complained, shaking her head in frustration. "War is easy, love is hard," Yujin states matter-of-factly. Feeling slightly defeated, Minji groaned and beckoned for Yujin to lead the way.

As Danielle gracefully swayed to the music on the dance floor, the rest of the D.E.B.S. had gathered near a quiet corner. Haerin, a few papers stapled together clutched in her hand, stood at the center of their little huddle.

"How was that?" Haerin asked. She had just read an excerpt from the speech she wrote for Danielle.

"It was great," Hanni complimented. "But, what if she really loves her?"

The two blinked in confusion, their heads tilting slightly as Hanni suddenly chimed in with an unexpected question.

"I mean, what if Minji makes her happy?" Hanni observed as Haerin furrowed her eyebrows, a subtle sign of disapproval. "If you were really her best friend, you'd probably let her go." As she finished, Hyein nodded, agreeing with what Hanni said. "You can't decide the matters of the heart," she joined in, acknowledging that their friend's "feelings" must be real, and not just some brainwashed lesbian tendencies Haerin believes it to be. Haerin, visibly flustered, gripped the papers tightly in her hand. "It's time," she says before walking off, catching the two girls off-guard.
