Clarisse La Rue.
She was a daughter of Ares, one year younger than me and the head of the Ares cabin.
Dark eyes and pale brown hair. A face that doesn’t seem to do much other than sneer or glare at me. Even though she always looked mean I always found that she was open to hear me out, whether she ever actually listened to the words is a complete unknown as of yet. Silent hopes though.
“Clarisse, surely you can see the benefit of it.” I told her as we walked towards Half-Blood Hill.
“Listen here Ice Prince.” Clarisse growled, using the nickname that people gave me for hanging around Katherine so much. “All we know is Thalia’s tree was poisoned and that oversized scorpion of yours is just a likely suspect as any other.”
“Tomby only obeys what I tell him to do, he’s a construct, no will of his own!” I countered.
“Yeah, the thing obeys you.” Clarisse agreed, making me stop as she continued towards the hills.
Wait… do they… they think I could’ve done this?!
I rushed after Clarisse. Who was now halfway up the hill to meet with the rest of the demigoddesses on border patrol right now. “Clarisse!”
Clarisse whirled around and the shaft of her spear hit my chest forcing me to stop and almost sending me to the ground had she not grabbed my collar with her free hand.. “Listen here Ice Prince, I.do.not.trust.you. Many people here share that sentiment. You and the Ice Princess may be best friends, but the rest of us just tolerate you. So stay out of my way and everyone else who can actually do something.”
With that she let go and pushed sending me to the ground before stomping off. I took a moment to catch my breath and when I was about to push myself up two people appeared in front of me, one being Katie Gardner, a daughter of Demeter, and the other Gracie, a daughter of Apollo.
Katie was my age with dirty blonde hair and green eyes like her mother. Gracie was a year younger than me with ginger hair that she’s dyed green at the tips, she had brown eyes that reminded me of hot chocolate. Katie reached out a hand to help me up, which I gratefully took.
“Thank you.” I thanked her as I stood up dusting myself off.
“No problem, how’s your chest?” She asked, concerned. “Clarisse can cause some damage with any part of that spear.”
“You don’t need to treat me like a delicate flower, I’m fine. Just got the wind knocked out of me.” I told her in hopes of easing her concern.
“That’s good.” Katie smiled, “Though I hope you know Clarisse didn’t speak for everyone.”
“I know.” I sighed, though the fact she did indeed speak for some bothers me.
“Well in that case could you go deal with the Ice Princess, she seems to be angry with Clarisse.” Katie asks as pointing towards the hill and I quickly turn around to see Katherine halfway up the hill.
“Right, Kathy!” I yelled racing towards the daughter of Kihone.

“Y/N she has no right to say that shit to you!” Katherine seethed, “You can’t keep letting her and the other push you around and walk over you like that.”
“I know, I know Kathy,” I reassured her, “But now is not the time to start an argument with her.”
Katherine didn’t seem to be all too convinced as she still held a cold look of fury and indignation on her face.
