Frustration.

Anger.

Two of the feelings that I was feeling quite a bit of at the moment. They are just letting this happen! Not one of them stood up for me. Not even a single objection!

A soft croak right beside my ear took my attention. Which settled on Signa as she gently pressed her head against my cheek.

“Think she’s trying to tell you she’s cold.” A familiar voice spoke, and I quickly turned to see Kathy. Her glacial eyes staring at me with a hidden curiosity. “What's wrong?”

“You were not at the pavilion, huh?” I asked and she shook her head. “Well by the decree of the new activities director I am to leave within the hour, after which I shall be declared an enemy of Camp Half-Blood.”

Now I have known Katherine for a year now more or less. Which allowed me the chance to learn how to read her and her emotions. No she isn’t just an Ice Princess like everyone thinks, coldness is just her typical outside response. Her reaction from the information that was just presented to her made me realize she’s angry, and openly so. The air got noticeably colder as frost covered the windows. Her glacial eyes seemed to freeze over as she gained an expression of cold fury.

No words left her mouth, and though odd as it may be I found some comfort in her anger. Not in the fact her anger was comforting, it was intimidating, but rather the fact she got angry at the injustice towards me is what comforted me. The fact she cared enough to do so unlike….

Shaking my head I decided on what I saw as the best course of action. I went towards her and hugged her. Which made her freeze. One thing I learned about her is she wasn’t one for physical affection or the likes, neither was I. Guess we both have been a little starved of physical affection.

“This isn't right.” She whispered.

“I know.” I whispered back as I felt her hug me back.

We stayed like that for a minute or so before she asked, “Where will you go?”

That… was a question.

“I’ll figure it out.” I told her and felt her arms tighten around me.

“Together.” She muttered as her face was pressed against my shoulder.

“Pardon?” I asked, not having heard her clearly.

She pulled her face up and stared me directly in the eyes, “I said together. We’ll figure it out together.”

The dots didn’t take me more than a second to figure out, and when I did. “No.”

Now she wasn’t angry at me before, but with the look she is giving me now I suddenly would prefer to be back on Olympus being scowled at by Zeus.

“You’re safe here at camp.” I tried to reason. “At Least more safe than you’d be out there.”

Her expression softened a little at that as she placed a hand on my cheek not saying anything for a moment. “I was not giving you a choice. You… are important… to me.” She said slowly as her voice slowly grew quieter.  “I am not leaving you on your own.”

Huh?

This seems like a.. No no. We’re rivals, that is why I am important…. right?

Trying to calm my rapidly beating heart I nodded, “Well go pack, and be quick I don’t feel like fighting everyone and thing in Camp because you are slow.”
