*savannah's pov*
after johnson and sam left, i was just about to get into the driver seat when jack stopped me. "it's your birthday, you shouldn't be driving." he said softly. he touched my lower back which sent chills all over. i still feel the butterflies i did the first time we met. "jack it's okay." i said.
he shook his head no and asked for the keys. instead of arguing i just gave it to him. he followed me to the passenger seat to open my door, i thanked him and got in. i don't know what changed jack but lately it's like i get the nice version of him and other days i get the pissy one. he walks over to the driver side and gets in, he turns on the car and looked at me.
"i want to take you somewhere." he said. i looked at him confused. "if that's okay with you.." he said softly. i nodded and gave him a half smile. he backed out the parking spot and started driving. i shuffled my music and just hummed to it. "i'm sorry for starting something during lunch. it just hurts to hear you're getting close to someone else.." he said lowly.
i sighed, "and you don't think i felt the same way when i saw you with Jenna? after you telling me you needed space.." i said. i didn't want to cry on my birthday but hey it's not your birthday if you didn't cry.. "i thought i needed space but it only hurt me to see i let you go. i thought dating other people would help that go away. i didn't want you to think im crazy for running back to you." he said.
"jack i wanted you back. i never wanted us to take a break. i know i was selfish throughout our relationship but i wanted to work it out. but you chose the easy way out.." i said. he looked at me briefly then looked back at the road. "i regret it all. i want us to work. i always wanted it to be you. i'm sorry savannah for everything." he said placing his hand on my thigh.
"i don't know jack.. one minute you're nice and wanting us to work then you go back to jenna and make me look stupid." i said. "i was the stupid one. i didn't know what i was doing. i want you and only you. i hate to see you with someone else." he said.
i want to give it a chance but a little part of me is scared of getting played. but then i remember i loved this man, he's my everything. "i just need to learn to trust you again.." i said. "savannah i'll do anything to make us work again." he said.
"okay.." i said lowly. he grabbed my hand and brought to his lips and kissed it. "i never want to hurt you again." he said. "and i promise that." he added. i smiled, then i realized he never mentioned what ever happened to jenna.
"what about jenna?" i asked. "she was just using me and i didn't need that. i cut her off and she cursed me out and blocked me." he laughed. i chuckled, that girl was something else... "by the way.. where are you taking me?" i asked.
"to the place i asked you to be my girlfriend." he smiled. which brought a smile to my face. the love i have to him never went away. although he'd make me mad but the love was always there.
*skipping to savs house*
after walking on the beach, jack and i went back to my place. i showed him around and he told me he loved it. jack and i didn't talk about what we are but he posted a picture of me on instagram with a caption "happy birthday to my forever favorite girl." so it left me confused.
i know why he's saying that because he knows neels will be there. after he stayed over i took him back to johnson's house so he'd get ready. once i dropped him off i drove back home, i then remembered what neels said when he left this morning and i started thinking what could he possibly have gotten me
i made it home and as i walking in my phone started ringing. when i looked down it was Nicole. i panicked but i answered it.
"hello?" i said. "hey savs it's nicole." she said. i chuckled a little, "hi nicole how are you?" i asked. "sorry i thought you might've deleted my number, im doing good how are you? also.. happy birthday!!" she said. "i could never delete your number. i'm good too! thank you it means a lot to hear it from you!" i said.
as we continued to talk i was walking into my bathroom to wash my face. we both apologized to each other for the way we both acted and she's excited to see me. i asked her if julia and her wanted to come to my place to get ready and she quickly said yes.
"okay i'll send you my address right now, im about to get into the shower! text me when you're here so i can open the door!" i said. we both said our goodbyes and i got into the shower. it was an everything shower but a quick one.
once i was done which took like 15 minutes nicole texted she was here. i was still in my towel so i went downstairs to the first floor and opened the door. only to my surprise the boys were there too. "oh great i should've changed first" i chuckled. sammy laughed and covered his eyes.
they made their way in, the last one in was jack. "your place is so cute!!" nicole said. i thanked her and smiled. "im gonna get dressed into comfy clothes so we can get ready!" i said. nicole and julia nodded and smiled. jack followed behind me. which made the boys make a "ooo" noise.
i walked into my room and straight to my closet. i picked out a black tank top and sweatpants. it's only 5 and i don't think the party starts until 8. once i was changed i walked out to see jack laying on the bed. "tired huh?" i said. "just a tad." he said dryly. i shrugged it off and went to my bathroom to put on deodorant and lotion on.
"what's in that bag?" jack pointed to neels gift. i hadn't opened it and im scared to see what's in it in front of jack. "a gift from neels." i said. he nodded and gestured for me to open it. i sighed and opened it. it was a jewelry box.
as i opened it i see a very shiny necklace that look like a diamond tennis necklace. i gasped.. there's no way neels spent all of that on me. jack looked at with a serious face.
"you can't tell me savs that he doesn't want you?" he says. i sighed. "jack i promise you he's never showed me that. we became really good friends and that's all." i said. he sighed, "are you going to wear it?" he said. "i don't want to make him feel bad jack if i don't wear it.. i'll talk to him later." i said.
"i know what i want and that's you. i'll let you choose what you want." he said getting up and leaving the room. i don't have feelings for neels. soon enough the girls walked in.
nicole looked at me and half smiled, "jack left and said he'd meet us there." julia said. i can't let this affected my day. i know what i want.
i nodded and allowed them to lay their things down so they could start getting ready. i let them have the vanity while i used the bathroom. we had music playing and the boys came in with drinks.
it took us the three hours to get ready.. i know crazy.. but we kept taking breaks and pictures. once we were all ready we took our last picture before heading out.
