chapter twenty six

*jacks pov*

it's officially our last full day today in PR. tomorrow we leave around 12 to the airport because our flight is at 3:30. today savs and i decided to spend the whole day together. she wants me to meet this lady she talked to so we'd probably head over there first. im still thinking about what happened last night, i feel like savannah did a good job protecting herself but it wouldn't have happened if i was with her the whole time.

but i know she's capable of handling things, regardless im always gonna be there for her. she's currently still sleeping, not in a creepy way i watch her sleep. i moved a piece of hair she had on her face and pushed it behind her ear. getting to know her and be with her has truly been an honor. i loved this girl the day i met her.

i know it's only been four months of us dating, but i do see a future with savannah. i kissed her forehead, which caused her to smile. "have you been watching me sleep?" she asked. i nodded and smiled. "you're so cute when you sleep." i say. she giggled. she turns to look at the ceiling and stretches.

"so what's the plan for today?" i asked. she turned back to me and smiled, "i would like you to meet Luna, then after that i found this place called 'Toro Verde' it's an adventure park. then at night we can have a picnic at the beach! they also have a 'Sip and Paint' area after we eat dinner." she says smiling. "wow babe that sounds fun." i say. she nods and grabs her phone.

she looked at her phone confused as she scrolled on her notifications. "what's wrong babe." i say. she looks at me and sighs, "last night when we came home i got a call from an unknown number. i ignored the first one, then i got another one when i was walking into the room. now my phone is full of messages from that number." she says as she reads one.

"just because you are in PR doesn't mean i don't have people watching you." she reads out loud. what the fuck? her smile faded to a frown. "babe what the fuck who could that be?" i say getting a little tense. she shakes her head fast, i could see tears forming.

"it's my e-ex. he knows where i am." she says getting up. i got up quickly and went to her side of the bed. i wrapped my arms around her tightly. "babe he isn't going to do anything to you. i won't let anything happen to you." i say as i kiss her cheek. she nods and hugs my tight.

"let's just ignore this for now and enjoy our last day here. if it becomes a problem then i'll deal with it." i say. she nods and wipes her tears away. she walks into the bathroom and starts to get ready. i can't let savannah go through this again. i won't let it happen.

once we were both ready we made our way to the jeep. by this time savanah seems to be in a better mood, she's sing along to the music. i hate that she's dealing with this. when i catch this dude it'll be the end of her problems.

i pull into a parking lot, the area looked really nice no wonder savannah came here for space. we get out the car and walk into the cafe holding hands. savannah starts to look around until she sees and somewhat older lady. she walks up to her and the lady hugs her tightly. i stood there just smiling, the lady reaches out for my hand for a handshake. she motions us to take a seat.

"savannah! i thought you would have forgotten about me!" the lady said. savannah smiled and shook her head, "i could never forget you! you helped me out when i really needed it." savs says. "jack, this is Luna the lady i talked to you about." savs say smiling. i nodded, "Hi i'm jack! she spoke highly about you. thank you again for being there for her." i say. she smiles, "when i saw her, i saw my daughter. i didn't want to see her hurting. i see you guys have fixed things." she says smirking.

"i felt terrible for what happened, savannah means the world to me and i plan to show her that. she deserves it." i say smiling, i place my hand on her thigh. "all relationships have disagreements but it's up two the people in it to decide if they should let the disagreement overcome what they had to begin with. from what i can see from the two of you, is a couple who has had their own struggles that they've had to deal with on their own before. you both are healing together, there will be bumps down the road but it'll be the love that you have for each other that will keep you together." she says.

i smiled at savannah, she's right. i wouldn't to live this with anyone else. "thank you Luna for being so kind to me, for hearing me out and giving me advice i needed to hear." savs says. luna reaches for savs hand and squeezes them. "i was your age before and i know how hard it is to keep the outside noise from interfering with a relationship. just know it'll always be the two of you at the end of the day." she says.

"thank you again luna, your words mean a lot to us." i say. she smiled, "take down my number if you ever need someone to talk to." she says. savannah pulls her phone out and takes her number.

she offered us a coffee to take, which savs couldn't say no to. we walked back to the jeep and sat in the car for a couple minutes. "i love you jack. i want to go through life with you." savs says squeezing my hand. "im with you through it all baby. i love you." i say placing a kiss on her forehead.

we decided to drive back to the airbnb to change for the beach.
