Naomi
My hair was blowing in the wind and it felt like I didn't have a care in the world at that moment. The sun was up, the top was down and life felt ok for now.
"Where should we stop first, the mall or get food?" Sasha asked.
"Whichever one is farthest," I stated honestly. I was comfortable and wanted it to last as long as possible.
The music was playing and I didn't know the words but I loved it. "Who is this?" I asked like I was going to listen to it later.
"Ciara, body party." She responded before turning it up some more.
"I'm doing this little dance for you, you got me so excited. Now it's just me and you, your body's my party let's get it started." She sang along.
Fifteen minutes later we pulled up to the mall, which was packed. "Ugh. We need to get in and out, it's way too many people out today." She complained as we exited the car.
"Well, that's not happening with you. You take long with everything." I said. "That's true, but I have no choice but to move fast since we decided to come today instead of yesterday. My flight leaves tonight." She said.
"You could've gone without me, and did a little try-on haul over FaceTime," I responded. "True. But I wanted to see you, it's been like two weeks. You act like you're so busy." We entered the building.
Immediately the sound of overlapping conversation filled my ears. "I am busy."
"Doing what? School and work? That's not busy. What you do after that would be considered busy." She shot back.
"Whatever."
"No seriously Naomi, think about it, you're 22 and the only thing you've experienced is your first kiss which was sophomore year. We're young, this is the best time to make all your dumb decisions and mistakes. What will you have to look back on when you turn 30?"
She was making sense, but it went against everything I believed in.
"You'll look back and realize a little fun wouldn't have hurt after all."
"Yeah, I guess," I said.
"Live now, make mistakes. God will forgive you, girl." She giggled. I gave a small smile.
It sounded good but I knew it wasn't. My punishment would be harsher than hers considering I know better.
"Ouu look at that!" She pointed into a store. "I got to have that." She grabbed my hand, pulling me into the store with her.
About four hours later we were finally done. It seemed like we had walked into every store, my legs were hurting and my stomach was rumbling. "I'm so hungry," I stated.
"You're always hungry but we can sit and eat at our favorite place." She suggested as we neared her car. "I'm actually supposed to be on my way to Nate's, I didn't know we would take up so much time in the mall," I stated.
"Ouuu Nate, you finally giving him a chance?" She smirked.
I shook my head, "No. He's having a kickback or something."
