I got up ready to start my day, "Where are you going? Got your face done up and stuff." Sasha stood in the doorway of the bathroom while I got dressed.

"Well if you must know, I have some extra training to do for my new job," I said.

She looked hesitant to say something, "What?" I frowned in confusion.

Looking down she started, "I talked to him." I squinted. "Who?"

"Vince— he wants to be there when I have the baby." She played with her nails avoiding eye contact.

"What?!" I threw my neck back.

"I know." She said.

She was eight months pregnant, in a few weeks she would give birth. He had beyond enough time to come around. Why now?

He missed all the doctor appointments which her parents and I never missed. Then there was the baby shower, which he missed also.

"And what did you say?" I asked.

"I said yes, bu-"

"But what!? He missed everything. You don't need him." I said.

"Nay, he's still the father of my child. I want my child to experience having both parents as part of his life." She explained.

"That can still happen, but are you really going to let him be in the room while you give birth?" I asked.

I thought it was a horrible idea.

"I want that experience. I want him to stand beside me, hold my hand and tell me it's okay. You know, like they do in the movies." She said.

I fought the urge to roll my eyes, "Sasha, this is real life, not a damn movie. I don't know what type of fairytale this man has fed you but I need you to snap back to reality, quickly." I frowned.

What the hell is she thinking?

"He said he's ready to be a father, and he wants to be a family." She said.

I touched her forehead with the front and back of my hand, "Stop Nay." She pushed my hand playfully.

"No, because you're acting really crazy and delusional right now," I said.

"You know what, you right. I'm pushing it." She rolled her eyes like she realized what she was saying.

"Whew, I thought you lost your damn mind," I said.

"Yeah." She chuckled. "Did you get some of that food?" She asked.

"Huh?" I squinted.

"Bitch you need some glasses all that squinting— I said did you get some of the food, you said you would get leftovers." She said. "Ohh, yeah." I lied.

"It was good," I added.

She stood in the doorway and talked to me until I finished getting dressed.

"Well, I should get going. See you later." I gave her a side hug.

"Alright be safe, don't do nothin I wouldn't do." She joked while following me to the door.

The club was empty, only a few girls were there. Some were practicing their set and others seemed to just be there hanging out.

For a while, I sat at the bar taking notes, remembering moves I wanted to try. "She's good huh?" A voice snapped me out of my thoughts. Looking over it was Sinner, I nodded. "Yeah, it looks so natural when she does it."

"She's a vet, been in the game for 14 years." She informed me. "Wow." That was the only thing I could say. Fourteen years is a long time to dance.

"Yeah, she's pretty badass." She added.
