9PM.

An empty pizza box was on the counter. The movie showed ending credits. Isabella stretched tiredly. Avery yawned sleepily while laid against Harvey's chest. I realized my head was laid on his shoulder with my arm grappling his. He smiled, stroking my hair and Avery's. The extreme warmth I felt was really sweet. Redness fulfilled my cheeks. "Are you asleep?" The soft deep voice whispered in my ear. I nodded my head no and looked at Avery trying to stay awake. "But she's about to be. I'll take her upstairs." I whispered. Isabella got off the couch. "I'm beat. I'm gonna go rest up. Goodnight lovebirds." She teased tiredly. Luckily, I'm too comfortable to give a sassy remark. I waved her off. Harvey smiled. "Goodnight Isabella." He said softly. She went upstairs and I slowly parted from him. "Come on little cookie, bedtime." I said before taking her off his grasp. Avery yawned, resting her head on my shoulder. "I'm not sleepy mommy." She muttered. I nodded in disagreement. "That's why you yawn." I whispered jokingly. Harvey lightly chuckled as I took her upstairs to freshen up for bed.

Whilst Avery snuggled against her teddy bear, I made sure she was wrapped under blankets and two pillows behind her head. Maya texted about spending the night at Rachel's. Mainly cause she forgot dinner and her car needs oil changing. Something tells me she's up to something but I'll deal with it tomorrow. I smiled softly. "Alright babygirl, goodnight kiss?" I asked. She smiled and kissed my cheek. I kissed her cheeks. "Goodnight my love." I said, heading out until—"Wait." She called. I turned around. Avery looked at me with goo goo eyes. "I want H to give me a goodnight kiss. Please." She begged. In that moment, I wanted to laugh or freak over how close she is to him. But my heart thought differently. Watching him bond with her many times did nothing but make me smile. I deeply loved those moments, even if I'd never admit it. Nobody would ever believe Harvey is good with children. I smiled a little. "Of course baby. Hold on." I told her and walked out. Fortunately, the man himself was at the bottom of the stairs. "She asleep?" He asked quietly while I came down. "Not exactly. She wants you to go up there and kiss her goodnight." I told him. Harvey playfully hummed which made me giggle. "You don't have to do this." I said. "No, I can do that." He said, going up the stairs.

A while later, we chilled on the couch with two glasses of wine. Harvey laughed quietly. I covered my mouth with chuckling. "She literally stabbed Louis in the hand!" I chuckled. He snickered and held his stomach. "Oh my god, I wish I could've seen that!" He said. "The feeling is mutual." I said, giggling. We tried calming ourselves down since the girls were sleep. "What did Maya do?" Harvey asked. I scoffed. "Nothing. She took Izzy out of there before he could blow." I told him. He grinned amusedly and sipped his glass. "Funniest thing ever." He muttered. I let out a breath. "So, liking this friendly date so far?" I asked. He shrugged. "Are you?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. I sighed happily. "At first I wasn't expecting an indoor one. But I'm alright. At least I didn't leave Avery." I spoke honestly. Harvey smiled. "You really care about her don't you?" He asked. I returned the gesture. "As much as you do." I teased. He put his glass down and leaned comfortably against the couch. "Have you always wanted children?" He asked. The happy memories of pretending to hold my teddy bears as babies when I was little hit my brain. "Always. I always said I'd want four or five kids. Half of them would be adopted." I beamed, smiling. He looked at me in shock. "Adopt? You want to adopt?" He asked. I sighed annoyedly. "This better not be a joke about how bad it is to adopt. Because there are children of parents who blah blah blah drugs or blah blah blah went to jail—He cut me off. "No no of course not. It's surprising because not a lot of people want to. Really kind of you." He said softly. I madly blushed and mentally thanked God I stretched my legs from those heels. "Thanks." I muttered shyly. Random thoughts overtook my brain about his family. The story he told involving his mother. I immediately frowned. "What's wrong?" He asked worriedly. "Nothing." I lied while fiddling with my fingers. Harvey sighed. "Elizabeth, tell me." He spoke in a serious tone. His brown orbs sparking concern. My heart skipped a beat. I inhaled a deep breath. "The story you told me....about your mother....I don't know I felt rather, I don't wanna say bad but....discussing having children....it just snapped me back to learning it's your job to protect your child from certain things." I told him nervously. I was slightly concerned for his reaction. Anyone closest to him, even Jessica could tell mentioning his family or mother is real sensitive. I didn't want it to upset him more. He picked up his glass and sipped. "I agree." Is all he said. I looked up confusedly. "What?" I blurted. He nodded in agreement. "What you said is true. No kid should deal with certain things they shouldn't." He repeated. I looked at him in disbelief and grabbed my glass. "Now I need a taste!" I scoffed. Harvey hid a small grin. "Watch another movie? This time I'm picking." He asked. I turned to him and scoffed roughly. "Who told Gaston he can watch anything on my damn TV?" I joked, almost laughing. He shrugged innocently. "Because that's what friends do, right? Share?" He joked. I immediately bursted into quiet laughter. "It's not sharing if you're in control!" I snickered. He pretended to be confused. "Who says I'm in control?" He lied. I mentally scoffed. He didn't think I noticed but I did. His hand searching the couch for the remote. I grabbed the pillow and hit him in the face. "Nice try sweet tits!" I joked. His eyes slowly widened. "What was that?" He asked calmly. And that was my cue. I slowly scooted back until getting up. His hand pulled me right into his lap, making him fall back. His hands tickled my underarms. I tried my hardest not to laugh loud. "Harvey—oh god—stop!" I giggled. His hand moved to my sides. "Not if you take back what you said Parker!" He playfully spoke and tickled my sides. I tried getting off his grasp but man, he was Gaston-strong. "Say it! Say it!" He teased through gritted teeth. I couldn't keep it together so I finally screamed with laughter. Harvey quickly covered my mouth. A moment of silence was present. I tried calming myself down. He breathed a breath of relief and uncovered my mouth. I playfully hit his shoulder. He pretended to be hurt. "What?" He asked. I huffed. "You almost woke them up!" I whispered/yelled. He scoffed, pointing to himself. "I almost woke—He paused before chuckling. I fake pouted and tuned out his laugh. Yet it sounded so cute. My cheeks burned crazily. I snapped out of my thoughts when I realized I was still on his lap. "Ummm..." I mumbled while slowly getting off. Harvey gently grabbed my hand which stopped me. We stared into each other's orbs rather intensely. The familiar scent of aftershave lingering my nose. I let myself take in all his beautiful features. Not handsome but beautiful. His hand slowly brushed a strand behind my ear. The stomach butterflies erupted.
