6AM.

As I turned sideways while sleeping, I sensed I felt another figure next to me. He kissed my forehead and nose tenderly. A mental giddy smile popped in my brain. His hand brushed a strand behind my right ear. He intertwined my hand with his and played with my fingers. I felt one more kiss on my forehead before feeling the bed move for a moment. Remaining asleep for another minute, my phone buzzed twice. The alarm clock shown 6AM. I rubbed my eyes repeatedly and realized Harvey wasn't next to me. A note was on the nightstand. I rubbed my eyes to make sure I'm not seeing things while sitting upwards. I grabbed the note and begin reading.

'Good morning darling :)
Went for a jog, be back soon'
- Harvey

The sun seemed to be rising soon as I looked at the clear blue sky through the windows. I didn't notice how beautiful the sky and scenery of New York looked from his bedroom. I got up and stretched and went to the bathroom for my morning routine. I caught my PJ attire in the mirror and found myself smiling giddily. I still wore my PJ pants but I was wearing Harvey's t-shirt. My eyes closed, remembering what happened last night. Two words: steamy session. But I was mentally glad we used protection, otherwise I'd be contemplating over what'll happen if we didn't. I smiled happily. The real surprising thing was I wasn't feeling upset in myself about sleeping with my boss. Wait, boss? Technically, Jessica is my boss who hired me to be Harvey's associate. He hired Mike which makes him his boss. I lightly shuddered and frowned. No way I'd sleep with my actual boss. Monica Eton done the same and it costed her everything. Yet Hardman's no saint because he done worse. Harvey and I aren't like them at all. Telling Jessica needs to be on our terms. Of course, I dearly hope it wouldn't become a problem. No one else knows except Donna. I walked out and placed my hygiene/facial essentials in my purse. I got redressed into my hoodie and high tops before putting my phone charger back in. It finally hit me once my stomach growled. Hungry. I came downstairs and tossed my purse on the couch. In the kitchen, I started cooking breakfast. Harvey will be real hungry once he comes back. I poured the eggs and bacon on two plates and sat down to eat. The atmosphere of the condo was so peacefully quiet, you could hear a pin drop. I finished eating and playfully twiddle my thumbs for a minute. Just thinking of what else to do. My eyes diverted to the black piano across from here. Another memory unlocked. The first time I sang here except in front of the keys. Harvey compared my voice to Mariah Carey's. I looked down and grinned amusedly. My cheeks burned hotly. Hmm, well it wouldn't hurt if I do it now. I got off the chair and walked up to the instrument. My fingers carefully stroked the keys without pressing. I immediately sat behind it. It's been a long while since I've played this. The last time was when I was eighteen or seventeen. I didn't have trouble knowing what song to sing because this was stuck in my head for some time. I practiced taking breaths and exhaled. Pressing the keys, I began singing How You Remind Me by Nickelback.

I sighed happily as I slowly took my hands off the keys. Apparently, I instinctively felt another presence in the room. Turning around, I jumped. "Shit, you scared me!" I blurted. Harvey, in his sweat hoodie, grinned. "Sorry. You sounded really amazing so I didn't wanna stop you." He told me. My cheeks burned hotter. "Thank you." I chuckled and got up. "I'd give you a hug but I'm all sweaty." He said, before drinking his water bottle. I fake pouted while crossing my arms. "I know. Takes the fun out of 'Welcome Back from Jog' hugs." I joked. Harvey low-key chuckled and kissed my lips. Butterflies flying made all the difference. "Kisses are available." He spoke. His attention diverted to his breakfast plate. "You made breakfast?" He asked in a surprised tone. I shrugged. "It's no problem. I didn't want you to make breakfast for me after jogging so much." I told him. Harvey grinned admirably and wrapped his arm around my waist. "You are so perfect." He whispered before kissing my hair. I madly blushed. "Awe, stop." I whispered. We parted. "I'll go shower, you have to get home and get little A ready for school." He reminded me. I checked my phone watch. 7:13AM. Crap! "Damn right! I'm running a little late!" I quickly said and made sure everything's in my bag including my phone. I wrapped it around my shoulder and grabbed my keys off the end table. "I'll see you at work babe." I said softly. Harvey nodded. We kissed goodbye before I left the apartment.

7:22AM.

I walked out of my room in my new work outfit and my hair had an updo. The moment I came home, I packed Avery's lunch, Maya already woken her up, bathed her and got her dressed, her breakfast was cereal. All I was thankful for is having a new outfit laid out on my sofa chair. Avery took her vitamin and grabbed her backpack. Today wasn't practice so she didn't take her soccer uniform. Friday will be the last day. We rode in Maya's car instead. In the bathroom, I left the stall and fixed myself up. Thoughts roamed my mind over Harvey walking in on me singing. It happened twice yet he's the only person in the firm that heard me. Nobody, not even Mike, has listened. I cleaned my hands and walked out. On the way, this unexpected show caught my attention. Donna and Hardman. She slapped him which bursted a chuckle from me. I covered my mouth and laughed quietly. Until she slapped him twice brought incoming laughter out of me. I run-walked to my office and closed the door. I held my stomach enough to calm down. Though myself had no idea of what just happened, I was never gonna forget that bitch slap.

During lunchtime, Maya snickered uncontrollably. "She slapped him?" She giggled. I nodded, laughing and took a bite of my sandwich. She smiled but rolled her eyes. "She's lucky she didn't get fired twice." She spoke. I looked at her weirdly. Where did this come from? "Maya, you know Hardman planted that memo to get her fired. She was the innocent pawn in his game." I reminded. Maya scoffed, eating a fry. "Innocent pawn." She mumbled. This must've meant why Donna seemed a little taken off track yesterday. Yet Maya's been sour towards her if I even mention her. "Hardman didn't tell her to destroy it. Some people just think they did something right when it suited them. Not even giving zero fucks about how it affects everyone. Hardman may be the leech but there's also self-righteous and egotistical leeches. Tell me Liz, why is this any different?" She grumbled irritatedly. The whole time I looked at her in shock. "Have you gotten any sleep?" I blurted. She inhaled a deep breath while frowning. "I'm sorry Liz, really I am. But I'm not apologizing for what I said. Be careful and be mindful of what happens." She advised. I truly didn't know what was going on between her and Donna, but something told me to take her advice. I slowly nodded. "Ok. Fine." Is all I spoke. Maya smiled softly. "Alright. Watched any vlogs at work?" She joked. I chuckled. The feeling in my gut lingered over her words. Be mindful and careful.

Watching Harvey angrily hit an H letterhead sent chills down my spine. He was arguing with Jessica which I can tell things didn't go right during the deposition. Our relationship needed to be professional here so I couldn't intervene. My brain clicked. But I can help end the case. I run-walked to find Mike, Rachel and Maya. I'm squishing down this weaseling leech one way or another.
