Even though I was sweaty from jogging, I couldn't let drag myself from Harvey's hug. A morning jog was the best idea to see each other before work. The girls woke up once it was 7pm. Maya changed into a pink dress while I showered before changing into my work outfit:

My hair loosened with curling strands. I applied makeup and laced up my white high tops. In the living room, Avery watched Disney Junior after munching on a banana sandwich. Donna mentioned a meeting with Harvey's client, a company owner Mr. Devon that Mike and I need to attend. I could forgive him for what happened yesterday because honestly, it did affect him emotionally. Maya walked downstairs with Isabella following behind. Her dress didn't surprise me the least. Her favorite color is pink anyway....just like Jin. I faced my bag while smiling in shock. Avery smiled kindly. "You look beautiful, Aunt Maya and Izzy!" She complimented. Isabella looked at her in awe while squeezing her cheeks. "You two!" She said. Maya blew a kissy face. "Thank you sweetie!" She spoke. Avery pretended she caught the 'heart' and hugged it to her chest. I snickered. "Everyone ready?" I said loudly. "Yup/yeah!" They replied in unison. I wrapped my bag around my shoulder. My brain clicked. "Little A, we'll work on your math when we get home. You kinda made a little mistake on yours." I told her. She looked at me confusedly. "What? Mommy, I done pretty good like last time." She told me. Maya hid an amusing grin. "She doesn't mean your answers." She added. I unzipped her backpack and pulled out her homework sheet. The back had a Barbie dollhouse drawn with a pink convertible. Isabella's jaw dropped, laughing. I raised both eyebrows. "Then what is this?" I asked amusedly. Avery simply shrugged. "I tried doing Mickey and Minnie but I ran out of black marker." She told me. We looked at her in shock. "Marker?!" We asked in unison. "Oops." She blurted sheepishly. I put the sheet back in the backpack and zipped. "We'll also talk about restricted marker using. Cmon, let's go." I said firmly. We grabbed our things and left. I wonder who's been giving her markers.

The meeting with Mr. Devon didn't start since he hasn't arrived yet. Donna walked in my office and noticed Isabella wasn't present. "Where's Izzy?" She asked. "Library. Better place to study." I told her while unzipping my bag. She smirked teasingly. "How was it? And don't bullshit me." She teased. My cheeks burned crazily. I inhaled a deep breath. "Perfect." I admitted, smiling. Donna crossed her arms sassily. "When's the next one?" She asked, referring to the date. "One at his place. Jazz music, wine glasses, food he cooked." I suggested. The dreamy imagine made me smile. She scoffed roughly. "Harvey? Cook? I hope you mean you." She joked. I pinched the bridge of my nose and huffed. "I didn't think of that. We'll just order take out or in fact get a chef." I said. She nodded in agreement. "Chef? Great idea." She said. I backed up my chair and got up. "Anyways, his client will be here any minute." I remembered. We walked out. "You go. I'mma browse around." She told me. I looked at her weirdly but continued going to his office. But my mind wandered elsewhere. Where is Mike?

Noticing Donna coming with Harvey, I got up and came out. Mike still hadn't come. I felt upmost bad for him cause Harvey will have an earful minute with him. "I have ice cream." She mentioned. A bright smile hit my lips. "Ice cream?!" I beamed. He sighed. "It's 8AM." He added. "Which is why God made chunky monkey. It has chocolate and bananas. Bananas are part of a healthy breakfast." She told him. I smiled delightfully. "And who cares about the bananas? It has chocolate!" I beamed. He raised an eyebrow. "You never mentioned you liked chunky monkey." He said. I nodded my head no and smirked. "I like things mixed with chocolate. Except almonds, walnuts, peanuts." I told him. Donna hummed. "Really?" She asked. I crossed my arms. "I've never seen you eat bananas." I sassed. Her grin instantly dropped. "Ok, you caught me. I don't even eat the bananas." She admitted. I lightly snickered. "8AM means the business day has already started. I'd like to conduct some business." Harvey said. She sighed. "Well, in that case, Trent Devon would like to see you." She told him. "So schedule an appointment." He said. I smirked. "She means—I paused to check my watch. "You have an 8:02 with Trent Devon." I corrected. "Bingo. I didn't meet you at the elevator just to chat about your weekend." She agreed. He nodded. "Fine. Get Mike." He told her. "From home?" Donna asked awkwardly. "Oh lord." I mumbled. Harvey turned around. The hidden anger painted on his face. "You gotta be kidding me. My client is here, and my associate is not?" He asked. I inhaled a deep breath. "Harvey, I'm sure—He cut me off. "Elizabeth, I don't want to hear it. The minute Mike Ross sets foot in this building, I want to know." He spoke in a serious tone. This ain't good.

Mr. Devon paced back and forth, basically freaking out. He was a tall blondish man that obviously rocked the 'pretty' standard. "I think it's a bad idea Harvey." He spoke. I went through the files and hummed quietly. "We'll double the share price by the end of first quarter." He told him. "That's not what I meant. I'm just—I'm not sure going public is the best move." He said. I scoffed, crossing my leg. "That's why we're here. Trust me, these aren't valid reservations." I assured. "You're just getting cold feet." He agreed. Mr. Devon sighed. "Harvey—He cut him off. "I'll have Donna send you some fuzzy slippers. You'll be just fine." He half-joked. I succeeded at hiding my chuckle. "Are fuzzy slippers gonna stop the title sixteen ruling that came down Friday?" He asked concernedly. Harvey seemed confused which made me huff annoyedly. "You don't even know what that is, do you?" He asked. "No, I don't." He admitted. "I do." I added, not looking up. "But what I do know is it's not gonna change the value of your site. You've tripled your reach in the past ten months. Everyone is talking about you. Now is the time. Cmon, we agreed on this." He continued. By the time Mr. Devon sat down, I noticed his nervous look. There goes my internal instinct. "What's this really about?" I asked. He looked up. "It's about the changes around here." He mentioned. "Nothing's changed. I'm here." Harvey said, putting the folder down. "Harvey, I may be a tech head but I'm not oblivious. This firm just went through a battle, and I know it." He said. I rubbed my temple. Didn't see this coming. But seeing Harvey upset felt worse. "Are you telling me that you don't trust me to put your needs above the firm's?" He asked. I nodded in disagreement. "That's not true." I spoke softly. Mr. Devon returned the gesture. "No, I've always trusted you Harvey. I'm just saying I don't...I think you might be too distracted to give me the best advice." He said. "Trent." He muttered. It doesn't take much to know he's backing away. "I have to consider my options." He said. I inhaled a deep breath. "About the IPO or Pearson Hardman?" I asked. "Both." He said.

After Mr. Devon left, Harvey was dangerously quiet behind his desk. If anything or anyone hits a nerve, he's a loose cannon. He absolutely care for his clients much as he does for people he work with. I intertwined my hands with his. "Breathe. Just breathe. Relax. Please." I encouraged calmly. He breathed through his chest. I sighed sadly. "I'm so sorry Harvey." I apologized. He said nothing but nod. Our hands parted so he could work. "Alright, the plan?" I immediately asked. Harvey looked at me weirdly. "We're a team, aren't we? I'm in this with you. The battle is won so let's pick up where we left off." I promised confidently. Those golden brown orbs full of hidden anger and quite frankly, hurt. "Thank you Elizabeth." He muttered softly. I smiled sadly while intertwining my fingers with his. "It's ok to take a minute. All of this seems overwhelming, especially since Mike—I paused watching him tense up. I got up and held his hand. "I'll be in my office if you need me." I whispered in his ear. He said nothing but nod. I walked past Donna who smiled sympathetically.

6PM.

Amazing. And crazy. Harvey lashed out at Mike earlier just as Donna and I predicted. Things may seem bleak now but it doesn't mean he gets to be harsh on him. Losing clients is like losing people when it comes to Harvey. I snapped out of my thoughts once my phone buzzed.

Twin Sis👯‍♀️❤️: grocery shop this weekend?

I remembered if we lose most of the food in the fridge, we'd take turns on grocery shop—oh damn! I mentally groaned and texted back.

BlueQueen👑🩵: I'll go, maybe bring Izzy. She could help me carry them.

Twin Sis👯‍♀️❤️: 😉💯

I shoved my phone in my bag and zipped it up before making my way to Harvey's office. He sat on his sofa chair, looking through files. I came in though he doesn't look up. Hm, silent treatment. I went behind his desk and sat down. "So, 'people don't leave me' huh?" I blurted. "Elizabeth, I don't—I cut him off. "I do. That was out of line." I scolded. He managed to look up at me. "He deserved it." He spoke. I scoffed. "He deserved a slap. You came at him like a loose cannon." I said. A moment of silence aired. "Tell me what's going on. Anything, I won't think differently." I said in a serious tone. Harvey leaned against the chair and frowned. "Elizabeth, I....." He trailed off. I grabbed his hand to start rubbing circles around it. "What? What is it?" I asked calmly. He must've swallowed a lump in his throat since he choked. "You promise that you wouldn't leave me. You meant it?" He whispered half-hoarsely. Our eyes interlocked intensively in one minute. I scooted closer and kissed him passionately. We slowly parted. "Every word." I whispered in a serious tone. Harvey smiled a little before kissing my hair. "Aren't you supposed to be home?" He mentioned. I nodded and huffed. "Can we have our date on Sunday? It's my turn to grocery shop this weekend." I asked. He nodded in understanding. I sighed happily, kissing him again. "You're amazing." I whispered. He smirked arrogantly. "I know." He joked. I playfully rolled my eyes.
