CHAPTER -15

Author's POV:

At Yugant's penthouse

"Yugant please stop it now, how much more will you drink" Agant said to him who was now totally drunk state and agant took the bottle from his hand.
"Come, I'll drop you to your home"
He said to Yugant while he denied him. "I'll not go I'll stay here and if you want you can go" he said with red eyes from tears that were falling a while ago. "I don't think your dad will like you in this state" agant said. "And I don't care now anymore cause he never liked me ho-how can someone decide his son's marriage without asking him, agant" he said "I think he did this for your best yugant yo....."
"Stop there don't say that he never wanted the best for me he always wanted my son to do as I said, if he ever wanted the best for me then he never sent to Diya away from me and never broke his son's heart" yugant said looking straight to his eyes.
"I think you should forget her now yugant" he said while yugant looked straight into his eyes with anger and chuckled a little "not everyone wants my happiness, I will never forget her even if I get married to someone else".
"Maybe everything will be fine after marriage and you will start loving that girl"
"No it will never happen I never give her a husband's love, never.
My love deserves only Diya and no one agant." He said.
"You have gone completely mad, why are you unable to forget her even after knowing the truth"
"No, It was all a lie so i could leave her, and now i don't want to listen to anything against her and if you want you can stay here or you can go and don't worry about me" he said without caring about anyone's heart.
"Fine, I'm leaving but trust me yugant you'll only cause more pain to yourself if you do this" he said and not get any answer from him and he left from his penthouse.

While the yugant sighed and went to his bed for sleep cause of the tiring day.

Next morning,

At Rumika's home

Everyone was sitting on a dining table having breakfast while rumika was smiling like a crazy person who got what she wanted.
"She hasn't even gotten engaged yet and looked at the glow on her face" his brother said teasing her while she smiled while listening to him.

"It's not like that understand" she said only then her dad phone rings only to see Rajiv ji on the screen.
He picked up the call while shutting everyone.
"Namaste Rajiv ji, ohhh o-okay okay don't worry, no no no problem, this is our good luck, yes okay." He said on call and ended up while everyone is curious about their conversation and Rumika face became dull thinking what if yugant denied for marriage. "What happened?" Meera asked him.
"He said that engagement is scheduled for the day after tomorrow on Sunday and the time is also good, so start preparing everything from today, hmm" he said while everyone smiled in response and there rumika who was shying in all her imagination.
And they start preparing for the engagement.

On Sunday, 12 PM

At Rumika's home

Everyone was preparing for the engagement and waiting for them to arrived. While rumika was getting ready and her mom helping her she was wearing an
Pink anarkali suit with handwork designa on them looking pretty.
"You are looking so pretty" her mom said kissing her forehead and she smiled at her.
"First I'll go and then I will call you ohk" "hmm and I have to bring tea snacks everything like an sansakri (cultured) girl while walking in a slowmo, right?" She said doing some dramatic action"don't overeact do what I said" she said and went away while she is looking at herself in mirror.
"Soni to main haa. (Pretty so am i)" She said while giving flying kiss to her reflection in the mirror and started clicking pics of her only then she heard sound of guest at downstairs indicating that they arrived and she the nervousness start consuming her

Everyone was their sitting on a couch while laughing and there yugant with no emotions on his face just trying hard to look normal.
"Where is Rumika, calling her otherwise the auspicious time will pass" Sharda said while was sitting on a couch and Meera nodded and got up to call her only then "can I go and call bhabhi" avni said and everyone smiles while yugant became a little angry cause she call her 'Bhabhi'.
"Why not go she'll be happy" Meera said to her and sit again beside ladies gang.

Rumika's POV:

I was sitting and shaking in nervousness only then I heard knocked sound on door and I saw there Avni she came inside and shocked to see me.
"Woahh my bhabhi is looking awesome, somebody's going to faint" she teased me and i smiled and my heart beats fasts when she called me bhabhi.
"I have to pick you up, let's go, everyone is waiting" i nodded and started to took my steps and the tinkling sound of my anklets givibg melodious voice and avni smiled looking at my anklets.

We went downstairs and i became nervous cause I'm at the centre of attention today and everyone looks at me cause of my anklets indicating that i arrived except for one person and that is Yugant, he didn't look up like in all the movies I think he was nervous to see a beautiful princess in front of him. I'm chuckled at my own thinking.

"You're looking so pretty my dear" shivani aunty said and i smiled at her and greeted every one present there. While shivani aunty made me sit beside yugant butterflies started to dance in my stomach. Only then the engagement started and we both stood on our feet, in order of everyone.
Mom gave me ring for him and Shivani aunty gave ring to him for me. Everyone inform me to slide ring in his finger, i slides and everyone cheers and then it's his turn he slides the ring in my fingers but his hands were shaking like he was having trouble in something and everyone cheered again. "Congratulations my dear" "thanku aunt...." "Don't called me this now I'm your mom so called me mom okay" i nodded in her demand "yes m-mom" I said while stammering and she introduced me with every single family members. Everybody is too nice and good i like his family but the one thing is disturbing me that he didn't give me a once glance which made me sad i think he needs some time and I ignored this thinking while everyone having conversation only then shivani mom said "I think we should send them to a room alone for a while, right?" "Yeah why not, rumi go and take the yugant to your room" mom while i nodded and stood up only then yugant's phone rang and he picked up while excusing us and went out.
After a while he came back "is everything ok yugant" his chachu asked "umm, there was a call from the company, the project partners want to hold an important meeting in an hour so I think we should leave now" he said and i became sad I know the work is first priority but whatever.
"It's okay beta, work comes first and the important work is done anyway" dad said assuring everyone. "Okay then and the marriage date we'll decide afterwards on the phone as we want to do a yugant's wedding as early as possible" Rajiv dad said and again my heart blast after hearing the marriage name.
Everyone was hugging each other so me and then they left.

Everything was perfect today but the only thing that affects me much is that i don't feel a single glance from yugant but I think maybe he was too nervous and shy and then i started looking at my ring finger tracing the ring on it it was beautiful.
"Come out of your thoughts now go and help mom with her work" bhaiya said suddenly near my ears making me flinch "no body asks for your advice" I said and towards mom. Mom was looking so happy she was telling her experience, her wishes everything and i listening her carefully and after work I went to my room for taking some rest after tiring and best day.
