Okay, so he just vanished?" I asked.

We were in front of the TV screens, looking at the footage.

"Wait, wait, wait," Donnie interjected. "If I run the video from my shoulder cam through an electrostatic filter, we might be able to see what happened to Shredder."

"Come on," Leo encouraged. "Show me something, bubby."

Donnie turned on the footage. It showed Shredder leaping off the truck's roof towards a waiting helicopter just as a bright light appeared.

"Look!" Donnie pointed to the footage. "Right there!"

We all gave the footage a long stare.

"What is it?" I asked.

"It appears to be some kind of residue from a teleportation event," Donnie said.

"Yeah," Mikey agreed. "Teleportation event residue, man. It's the worst."

"Does that kind of technology even exist?" Raph wondered.

"Baxter Stockman's been working on this kind of tech for years," Donnie answered.

April piped up. "All of that that I pulled off of his iPad, it was full of information about Shredder and the Foot Clan. It was like a virtual playbook! Baxter has to have a backup. And I bet it's on the mainframe at TCRI. Donnie, I need something. What do you got?"

"Wait," Donnie turned around and looked over his desk. "I know exactly what you need." He turned back to April holding a small computer chip. "Totally plug-and-play."

April took it. "Perfect. I'll go check it out."

"I'll go too," I said. "You know, for backup."

She gave me concerned expression. "You sure you want to do this?"

"I do," I answered. "I wouldn't forgive myself if anything bad happened to my loved ones."

"We'll go with," Leo said as we started walking to the exit. "Operate in support."

"Wait," April realised stopping in her tracks. "The sun's coming up."

"She's right," I agreed. "You can go outside. You'll be seen."

Raph groaned in frustration. Donnie and Mikey just nodded. Leo walked up to me and gently cupped my cheek in his hand.

"Please be careful," he pleaded.

I nodded and kissed him on lips, mouthing "I love you" to him. Then April and I ran out to the surface.

💙LEO'S POV:

After Faline and April left the lair me and my brothers went to do our own thing. Raph and Donnie played some sort of baseball game while Mikey rode on his skateboard in the air with Donnie's drone chasing after him.

As for me, I sat with Master Splinter to have a talk. "I failed, Master Splinter. You put me in charge and Shredder slipped through our fingers," I said, sliding my katana into the holder.

"There's nothing you could have done to stop it," Splinter said. "Do not let this setback distract you. Remember, as long as you keep the team unified, you shall always succeed."

I nodded my head to him, but then noticed the look of thought on his face. "What's wrong, Dad?" I asked him.

"I want you to keep an eye on Faline," he answered.

"Why?" I asked, confused.

"Because during our session earlier, a fiery image of a wolf appeared on her palms," he answered. "I fear something may happen to her."

I began to worry, thinking I knew I should've went with her. To heck with being seen by people, my girlfriend is more important to me than that.
