"WHERE ARE WE GOING, HITOKA-CHAN?"
Mina couldn't help but laugh as the blonde girl eagerly dragged her off to who-knows-where. The hallway had settled into a quiet lull with the school day over, just a few students wandering by on their way home. Prior to this, she was just about to slip into her clubroom when Yachi's voice called out, followed by a sudden tug on her wrist, pulling her away with a burst of energy only Hinata could mirror. She was quite confused, having to repeat the same question for the second time, but all she got in return was a bright smile and a cheery, "You'll see!"
With quiet patience, she walks the familiar path behind her, all the way to the front doors of the school's gymnasium. Yachi releases her wrist, flashing an excited grin over her shoulder before pushing open the heavy metal doors with a creak. At first glance, the gym is completely dark—like practice had ended unusually early. Mina steps inside, curiosity pulling her forward for a closer look. Low whispers and hurried movements stirred in the darkness, unsettling her enough to turn back toward the blonde girl with a faint frown. But before she could speak, the lights burst on, making her flinch and squint against the glare—just as a chorus of voices shouted out in unison, startling her.
"Congratulations, Mina!"
Startled, she instinctively covered her ears, whipping around to see the entire Karasuno team grinning at her—some cheering, others laughing—Nishinoya and Tanaka loudest among them with their usual hoots and hollers. And to her surprise, standing right alongside them were the members of the guitar club, beaming just as brightly. Mina stood frozen, completely stunned as she watched them, a swirl of emotions rising in her chest. Her vision blurred slightly as tears began to well in her eyes, shimmering with the weight of it all.
Just then, Kageyama appeared from behind the group, carrying a cake with a single candle flickering softly on top. He approached her quietly, and Mina couldn't help but laugh through her sniffles as he stopped right in front of her. The cake was charmingly decorated—a baby chick standing on stage with a guitar slung around its neck, and above it, the words carefully piped in icing read: "Our Little Star is Taking Flight!"
