Yeonjun kisses Soobin's closed lids, ignoring the boy's groans. It was morning now. Their alarm had one hour left before they needed to wake up.
"Yeonjun," Soobin whines, his face buried in the pillow, only his eyes and the side of his nose visible. His brows furrow before relaxing, allowing sleep to take over once more.
Sunlight illuminates the room in a bleary glow. Yeonjun's blinds never provided much protection against the morning sun.
Yeonjun pulls away from Soobin. He looks down at Soobin's exposed neck and leans in to kiss tenderly at the purple and red bruising there. Press, press, press. His become firmer against his skin, wet noises and lingering touches. Soon, Yeonjun kisses Soobin more frantic, heated, lips covering as much surface as quickly as he can. Soobin wakes up again, sleepily raising his hand to palm at Yeonjun's face, lazily pushing him away.
Yeonjun bites at his fingers. Soobin yelps, quickly retracting his hand. He quickly shifts away to turn to his other side.
Yeonjun stares at his bare back, releasing a sigh. He wants to touch him more. Demand his attention. Instead, he begins to count in his head.
1...2...3...
10...12...17...18...19...20...
Finally, Yeonjun forces himself to look away. He hops off the bed before his body changes it's mind. He groans, stretching his arms up above his head, hearing the bones in his back pop.
His feet move, he can feel the soreness in his calves. Yeonjun whistles, on his way to the bathroom, but Soobin remains unmoving at the noise.
Yeonjun enters the small space, closing the door behind him.
He reaches into his shower, turning the water on. He decides to wait for the water to warm.
Yeonjun walks back to the cracked mirror above his sink. Burnt golden light seeps into the space from a tiny window high on the shower wall, Yeonjun notices how it makes the marks on his neck look more pronounced. Red against yellow skin.
Yeonjun stands there, eyes on his reflection, eyes slowly trailing away from his neck. He didn't even realize what was happening before it was too late.
Besides, he can't remember the last time he really looked at himself.
His black hair was poking in different directions. The bags under his eyes seem less prominent than before. Lips still reddened from earlier. And his neck, angry red marks, lines that twist.
Yeonjun leans in closer, eyes squinted. He curses under his breath as his hand comes up to touch over the fresh marks, one rose up to his earlobe.
Yeonjun chuckles, with a quirk of a smile.
His pretty fingers can do some damage, huh?
Yeonjun thinks briefly of the time said fingers scratched down his chest. The marks still visible today in certain lighting.
Yeonjun's fingers wrap around to reach another mark on his neck, the wound more red than the other. He presses down on it, hissing at the burn.
How the fuck am I going to cover these?
Yeonjun's eyes avert then, accidentally catching his own gaze in the mirror. His eyes, slightly golden from the light. They looked pretty but—
He still sees what he's always seen in them.
His brief flicker of hope is extinguished as soon as it came, replaced with the familiar, sick feeling of a damning dissatisfaction.
Yeonjun's eyes leave his face, deciding that he— won't be doing that again anytime soon.
