Late afternoon of April 27, 2011, there was a tornado that struck DeKalb County, Alabama. It stayed on the ground for 36 minutes. It killed 25 people. The tornado first developed in Harperville, Mississippi. There were several pockets of land that were destroyed by the tornado including places called Shiloh, Rainsville and Henagar. After it destroyed the land, it dissipated near Rising Fawn, Georgia. It had no warning. The tornado was part of the 2011 tornado outbreak.
