During May 7-10, 2016, tornadoes impacted areas across the High Plains, central Midwest and parts of the Ohio Valley. It also produced an EF4 tornado in Katie, Oklahoma on May 9 killing one person, an EF3 tornado near Connerville, Oklahoma which also killed one person. Two large EF2 tornadoes on May 7 in Colorado. A large EF2 tornado on May 8 near Catherine, Kansas. There was also a destructive EF3 tornado that struck Mayfield, Kentucky on May 10. There were overall 57 tornadoes that were confirmed.
